NBA Fantasy League 2011-2012

Okay I need at least 10 people to join otherwise it might not be as fun. I will set up the league soon and will have a draft time and date that works for everyone. I just need a head count to see how many people are planning to join.

So far we have:

RDCR07
Reelworld
Desert Eagle
ArmchairCritic
Nanderson
Danny1982
gooDevil
Dingledoog
Omardalvi

Please have your Redcafe name as your team name because it will be easier to follow who is who.

So many people posted in the NBA thread and no one else from there wants to play?

Um I don't know.. Never played it before can you explain the concept to me?

I don't really have that much time in hand.. :(

It won't take much of your time. Only the drafting at first takes time.

Okay so all the players in the game go to draft who ever they want on the first day. I think you pick close to 15 players. So lets we have 8 people, your draft number gets picked randomly and depending on that you pick. So we start from player 1 to player 8 and then it goes backward from player 8 to player 1. It keeps going till we pick 15 players. After that all you have to do it pick your team every week like you do for football fantasies.

Ok I'll give it a go.. When shall we start?

RDCR07 send pms to Mr.Marcello, Mehro and Jweezy. They might be up for it.

Why are you declining?

I've played Fantasy Basketball many times before and don't enjoy playing it. I'm having a hard enough time keeping my lineup updated for Kristjan's NHL league. I'd be completely inactive in a basketball one. It takes considerably more time to play Fantasy Basketball than Fantasy Football if you want to do it right.

And to be honest, my main focus regarding the NBA this year doesn't involve what's happening in the games.

Edit: That came out a little harsh. I appreciate being invited, but I would be a shit participant for the reasons stated above, and therefore I believe you would be better off giving my spot to someone else.

Sweet. Definitely Devil would have been a better username, sounds like a brand of edible panties or something.

So, I looked around the Yahoo page but I didn't see anything on how it's scored. If anyone comes across the page with the point system, please post it! If we end up playing.

I did play the NBA.com version once. In that one defense didn't play into it, so players from teams like Golden State were better in the game than in reality.

I was wondering what time exactly is good for you Brits playing this because we need to figure a time for the draft? It will take close to 45 minutes depending on how fast people draft. How about sometime during the weekend of December 17 and 18? Will that work for all you guys?

If Newbies are reading this thread, you guys are more than welcome to join as well.

We need 1 more player as soon as possible. So feel free to PM me.
.

Anyone on the list from America other than me or from somewhere outside the UK or US? I want to make sure its daytime for the guys in England.

I'm from Bangkok but give me a weeks notice and I'll be fine staying up late for the draft.

We got a newbie as well. I am going to wait for one more day if we can find another person, otherwise we'll get started.

How does Saturday, 17th December at 7am PST sound for everyone? Which means:

EST - 10am
GMT - 3pm
Kuwait - 6pm
Australia - 2am

Is that okay for everyone? Do those timings work?
