NBA 2024-2025

Warriors got out muscled today quite literally. Hopefully Jimmy can be back soon or this series will be pretty short.

Pelvic contusion is 1 to 3 weeks from what I read.

Obviously there's a lot of mitigating factors.

If Butler is back by game 4 least, I still like the Warriors.

They're absolutely cooked without him.

Some of the lineups the warriors put out today were horrific. Really unfortunate with Butlers injury.

Donkey took shots to the head of 2 players in the first 5 min and got nothing. He’s the reason Amen Thompson fell into Butler.

Jalen Green with the game of his life. Fantastic all around.

Looked like Amen got shoved by Adams first, then tripped over Draymond's legs then lost his balance and fell into the airborne Butler. Just a truly unfortunate series of events.

I do think it was inadvertent, but all the same, still thought it was extremely reckless on Thompson's part. He is so focused on trying to get a rebound, (which he clearly has no chance of getting at that point), he is paying no attention to what is going on around him, and Jimmy pays the price.

There are some in the media calling for his suspension, which I don't agree with, but I do think it should have been upgraded to a flagrant 1 at the time.

He was shoved by one dude and then tripped over another guy's legs. I disagree, I don't think it's even close to a flagrant. The only decision you could question was trying to squeeze through Adams and Draymond to get the rebound, but it's the playoffs, everyone is going to be trying to fight through screens/box outs etc. One angle showed Amen was already off balance and falling while Butler still had two feet on the ground.

Extremely reckless is what Jalen Green did trying to forearm smash Draymond in the face. He was lucky he wasn't tossed for that. I don't think Amen did anything wrong. It was just an extremely unfortunate situation.

That was kind of my point. He's still trying to get the rebound while he is falling and is paying no attention to what's going on around him. I understand 100% effort and all that, but sometimes you've got to pay attention to what's going on around you.

Physicality 2025 is just plain beating, these kids nowadays know nothing about gamesmanship, touching, pulling and pushing.

I don't think he was still going for the rebound once he got tripped and was off balance.

It absolutely was. Just a shame GS fans, even with all of the video evidence from multiple angles, still think it was intentional. I've tried to intentionally foul someone in the past. Never did by shoving my face into their a**.

Sorry but that's asinine. Going for a rebound isn't reckless and if you've seen this dude's athleticism, no loose ball is out of his reach.

That's exactly right and that's the problem. No rebound is out of his reach and it doesn't matter who gets in the way. I said it was inadvertent, and it was, but he plays recklessly and he doesn't care about the consequences.

He wasn't even going for the rebound once he stumbled and was off balance. The decision to try and fight through Adams and Draymond one could maybe question but in the playoffs, guys will fight thought any box out. Amen did nothing wrong or reckless imo. Butler was just very unlucky. I've seen what Warriors fans are saying about him on other platforms and it's crazy imo.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on whether he was reckless or not. Either way, I don't think it was deliberate. I think he's young, it's the playoffs, he's fired up and he was trying to get a rebound. Trying too hard IMLTHO, but not deliberate.

I've seen some of the reactions on other web sites and the majority definitely seem over the top to me. I think there's a good chance it costs us the series, but like most things in life "it is, what it is."

Looks like Jimmy Butler questionable for game 3. MRI shows no structural damage.

I wasn’t expecting Grizzlies to steal a game here.

Because you're wise. Losing Clarke and Wells in the regular season tanked any odds of holding our own defensively in this kind of series.

Lu "Zaza" Dort... In all seriousness Wells, Tatum, Butler and now Ja (those just came to mind this season, I'm sure) have been taken out by reckless fouls while midair... Intentional or not there needs to be more serious penalties for this kind of bullshit

Onto the next season!

OKC defense is so good.

Intentionally trying to injure people helps with that defense.

fecking insane how you have Butler and now this in the space of two days. Disgraceful 'basketball' on both plays. NBA needs to get this 'playoff basketball ' nonsense out of their heads and clamp these reckless attempts at the ball when a player is airborne.

Denver look done for the series, MPJ is injured and useless therefore while none of Braun, Gordon are contributing as well. Clippers in the meanwhile have so much depth in offense, adding to their defensive strength as well.

Fair enough. Happy to agree to disagree on this one. I think Amen was basically showed and tripped into Butler. It was out of his control and I think it's super unfair put any blame on him fpr Butler's injury. I know you're not doing that, but others are.

Not sure how anybody could blame Amen for Butler's injury yeah. He basically just got leveled by an errant Ent. Unlucky to smash into Jimmy

Luka stomach bug and didn't look close to 100% and the Lakers still up 4

If he recovers a bit in the 2nd half, the Lakers are golden to nab this 1

Interesting to hear Dillon Brooks call Draymond Green a "dirty player."

I mean, he is. There's no doubt. He'll elbow you in the ribs, backhand you across the face, kick you in the nuts, step over you, even step on you, just to throw his opponent off his game.

With all that being said, nobody really gets hurt. Nobody misses games because of his antics (except Draymond himself). He is an irritant, with a big mouth who won't/can't shut up.

Dillon Brooks on the other hand is a thug. He'll hurt you. Period.

I think Jordan is the best ever, but LeBron is still doing things at 40+ that almost no one else in the league can do. The passive aggressive crap that he pulls can definitely be irritating, but there's no denying how great a basketball player he really is.

Tell that to Jordan Poole. Turnovers killed us today, a bad Luka game and ended up wasting an all time Lebron game.

What he does off the court is a different matter. In the actual game itself, he's just a pain in the arse.

Saying "He'll elbow you in the ribs, backhand you across the face, kick you in the nuts, step over you, even step on you" then following it with "nobody really gets hurt" is just incredible cognitive dissonance. If someone did all those things to you, I have a feeling you wouldn't call them 'just a pain in the arse'

No I agree. He's a dirty player and I freely admit that. But none of those are serious injuries. They're just "dirty plays." To be honest, I'm not that fond of the guy myself. The difference is (and what you seem to be missing) is the comparison to Dillon Brooks. Dillon Brooks will hurt you, so you do miss games (re. Gary Payton).

Hopefullly this judo-basketball is a 1st round thing only and Adam comes out to restore some fair play next week.

Thunder sweeping Grizz while every other series is either 1-1 or 2-1. Long way to go before the second round starts. Almost too long.
