As I said earlier. I don't think I've ever seen a worse 12 seconds for a player in a long time. Perhaps ever. The layup and the foul together. Jokic should be pulling his hair out (and Westbrook's too - by the roots).
Westbrook has missed similar layups/dunks many times, that's why I don't rate him, he has objectively been good but his evaluation needs to be discounted due to millions of boneheaded plays. His strong traits are amazing but his bad ones are incredibly bad.
The only thing preventing that being the worse meme-ified brainfart in NBA history that in reality it actually is is that it's essentially just a regular season game and therefore JR Smith's still wins by default. This will be forgotten by next week.
I understand that he has missed layups like that on numerous other occasions, but that combined with the foul at the end, the fact it was a double overtime game and then Jokic's 61 point performance, all combine to make this extra "special."
You are probably right, it's at least one of the most iconic due to Jokic's historic triple double.
Clippers lifted their form along with Kawhi being on fire lately. It will be a tough battle for 6th so they can avoid play in tournament but they're definitely on the rise. Zubac playing a season of his life and Bogdanović clicked with the team too.

For all the Luka hype except for few games he has been largely pretty average and very inefficient. When you combine Lebron who has been terrible since he came back, lakers are looking pretty average.

Yeah his shooting has been off especially from 3. Hopefully he picks it up in the playoffs. How you think Lebron has been terrible is a mystery though. I still like our match up against the warriors. If the ginger muppet doesn't have a career night and Luka is just average then we win today. As long as we get that top 4 seed it'll be good. Still got 2 games against the thunder, and one against the rockets and mavs left.
I meant since he came back from injury. He has been pretty bad, I think his jumper is off and lot of careless turnover. Hopefully he gets back in rhythm. I am worried about Luka more though.
I know you meant after the injury. Before the injury he won player of the month so there has been a little drop off but he was great today and has still been quite solid.
Also Giannis with a ridiculous 35-17-20 stat line today.

I'm just rewatching some of tonight's Dubs/Nuggets game. Watching Russ at times is just comedy gold. He's a bloopers reel all by himself.
Not that seedings really matter in the West, when the first round opponents are all good legit teams no matter where you finish, but us finishing 2nd would just be incredible. We finished 11th last season and returned the exact same team.
The West is much more about matchups and I think that you are building a team that is matchups-proof, a bit like the Celtics.
The Warriors are real danger, no doubt, that is now 20-2 record with Steph and Butler both in the lineup. Pretty much all has been said about the Nuggets, having the player with the highest IQ doing his thing and than the rest of the crew doing exact the opposite is a sad sight.. Everyone from that championship team deteriorated. Maybe they can find some spark in the playoffs but there is also zero depth for a deep run.
According to a number of sportsbooks, the Warriors are now 4th favorites to win it all. OKC, Celtics and Cavs are top 3.
The way the Warriors look after Butler trade that is justified imo. Your starting lineup is extremely strong and balanced (among the best in the league) and you have Steph in the rhythm at the perfect time. Rotation can give you great minutes as well. And it all goes along with the championship pedigree.
It's all so damn close in the West, but the Warriors/Steph look great atm.
Special mention to the Pistons, the win last night secured playoff spot after 14-68 record last season.
The problem Luka has is that he can't really play off-ball that well. He needs to have the ball in his hands to really be at his best. The downside to that is that LeBron also prefers to have the ball in his hands as well and even though he can play off-ball, I really don't think it's his preference. Therefore, when the two play together, it often doesn't appear to be a great fit. Combine that with the fact that Luka is not a great defender and you often see the Lakers struggle. In Dallas, players would blow by Luka on a nightly basis, but the Mavs had a couple of excellent rim protectors who could stop the easy basket. Since Davis has gone, the Lakers don't have that. So unless Luka is scoring in buckets (pun intended), he can easily become a net negative to the team.

That was hell of a ass whooping by Lakers, SGA with zero FTs, not like refs didnt try but JJ Redick had to waste both of his challenges in the first half to stop them, guy kicks out Luka and gets a foul lul

It will be interesting to see how OKC react to that beat down when they play again on Tuesday. They really have nothing to play for right now, but as you point out, that was a real ass whooping. Athletes usually have pretty big egos. Will be interesting to see how Tuesday's game pans out.

Nope, I actually had to calm myself in order not to express how I really feel about the Fakers.
Calm yourself? They are a basketball team with a rich history with the second most titles in league history and a multitude of the games greatest players have played there. Not sure how that makes them a fraud or angers you so much that you need to "calm yourself".
That's a bad loss. Apart from Podz, starters were awful.
Nuggets are such a horrible team. From contesting for the second seed to becoming a play in one.
