NBA 2023-2024

Lakers are done, if you can't win with dlo scoring, AD being automatic and clutch lebron in 4th quarter, and all of it while both joker and murray have average nights you aren't beating this nuggets team, another sweep coming.

Nah. Even up 20 I fully expected to lose this

We just can't beat the fecking Nuggets man...

Ham just stopped calling plays for like 10 minutes. Lebron is amazing but we can't be living and dying on his three point shots.

If the Lakers throw this away it’s 100% due to them inexplicably freezing out Davis in the second half. The offense this half looks nothing like the first half.
He scored a basket with 7.15 to play in the 3rd quarter to give the Lakers the lead at 74-55. He didn't score again.

That is one of the best games I have ever seen and the lakers losing on the last shot of the game is just cherry on top

Nothing against the Lakers, but watching James lose - priceless.

I'm just waiting to see who he throws under the bus for this one.

He is what he is. Not a bad coach but not a very good one either. He's not good enough to consistently outcoach Malone, and we need that to beat them

Most damning thing is that apart from Jokic and MPJ, the Nuggets were 0% from 3s and they still won.

A 20 point lead is really nothing huge in todays NBA, unless it’s midway in the 4th. It can easily be cut to 8 points by a just a few possessions of hot shooting. I only feel safe with a 20 point lead when it’s against bottom 5 teams.

Knicks 76ers was so fecking fun. Brilliant game and atmosphere - this Knicks group are so easy to route for... ex Brunson, who I find annoying to watch. Foul baity, ball dominant style, with a stupid face. Anyway, what a finish. Just relieved I've finally seen a game this playoffs that was actually close at the end.

Can’t believe the next game was even better. What a night.

He gave an interview a few days ago in which he was complaining that he didn't have enough help against the 2011 disaster against Dallas, to absolve himself from any blame:lol:

He makes it very hard to take seriously when he's constantly blaming teammates, management, referees, and the weather. Its rare to hear Lebron take accountability, which you'd expect a leader to do.

He missed a wide open three and then was all too happy to get the switch to avoid defending Murray on the other end, which was the difference between tying the series at 1-1 and going into the 2-0 hole they're currently in.

In the ending of Knicks vs Sixers, on that steal, wasn't Tyrese fouled? Genuine question. I do find it difficult to figure out what is a foul and what's not in NBA.

Did they also overturn this call in DLo? Cuz LeBron complained about it here.

Maxey did just as much fouling if you ask me - he clearly shoved Hart away with both hands which is how he got open to receive the inbounds pass anyway. Sure his jersey was pulled a bit but that's playoff basketball.

Sixers and Lakers should stop crying so much about the refs. It's not a coincidence given that these are the two teams that rely the most on whistles during the regular season but it's the playoffs.

It was a foul, but what was even more foul was the Lakers offense in the 4th quarter. Froze out AD and let LeBron repeatedly drive (and miss) into a crowd of Nuggets. Those two 3's mask what was an awful 4th of LeBron.

Embiid's travel was hilarious. Man thinks this is the regular season where he's getting a foul everytime. To be honest it should be like this all the time, but the NBA want the high scoring product.

Unless we are talking about KAT or Jokic, neither of them are allowed to foul much and they can be battered by anyone. For Jokic it's particularly strange since to me he is so likable.

Yeah Jokic gets the worst superstar whistle out of all the superstars. He barely even gets regular whistles

By some distance, have a look at his arms after less than one half, I'm used to spot it and yet I still can't believe how he doesn't get a normal whistle. On the other end you don't need to touch Embiid to commit fouls, look in his direction with any sort of intensity and you get a flagrant 1.

I would have mentioned Edwards for the way he is fouled but truth be told this season referees are starting be very lenient with him on the defensive end.

Only tuned in for the last 7 minutes of the last NBA finals clincher, Jokic was being thrown to the ground and no call. I had to double take, I'm not sure I've seen refs try harder to get a losing team back in a game, just disgusting.

You know, the playoffs start and suddenly defense is allowed again and the games are so much more watchable. 103-100 is far more interesting that watching these masturbatory 145-147 regular season games.

Regular season is such a stat padding chore by comparison.

Suns are like United. Watching them is a chore and they’re both filled with overpaid wankers.
Durant really is a fraud. Like James, he's done everything he could possibly do to surround himself with "help" but without Steph he hasn't and never will win anything.

He was undeniably an upgrade on Harrison Barnes though. Can’t take that away from him

No doubt. He was great for the Warriors and they won 2 Championships with him. My problem with KD is that for all his qualities, with the exception of his years with the Dubs, no matter who he's teamed up with, it never seems to work. At some point, when every team you play for seems to underachieve, you might want to look in the mirror.

He's had serious injuries too though. A big chunk of his prime has been wiped out by them

TWolves really look like the best team to beat Denver. Their defense is fantastic, the key won't be them stopping Jokic because Jokic has dominated them but rather stopping Murray and the others.

Would be a fascinating tie if both go through (with both 2-0 up you'd assume that).

I'd take Durant over Curry any day of the week.
The general consensus is that Steph is a top 10 player of all time. KD is not. In a vacuum, there's not much between them, however, Steph's intangibles (winning, making team mates better, leadership etc...) IMLTHO make him the better player.

That year when he won with Kyrie vs a stacked warriors, getting trash talked by their players and then showing up with two 40+ pointers after to eventually go from 0-3 to 4-3 was pretty good no? Wasn't Kyrie still quite young and not the superstar he went on to become later? He was certainly good but surely even Jordan's rings have come with at least another great player in his team.
