NBA 2021-2022

Was quietly confident actually. Our form had picked up a little against Philly and the Warriors. SGA was incredible in the 3rd qtr.
Wow that’s a great win after a terrible first quarter. I thought you might be tired after a lot of energy expended against the dubs but at the same time not surprised that Lakers might struggle.

This draft class looks very exciting, and we haven't even seen Cade yet.

Every time I see Edwards and Lamelo Ball, I think about how ridiculous the idea that the 2020 draft was an historically poor draft. When you look at the attitude and skills of the players drafted, it could be the best in a long time and these kids didn't even get an initial normal preseason.

Nets look so clunky in offence, the complete reverse of their beautiful play from last year. A significant part of that is Harden, who apparently couldn’t train for most of pre-season due to his hamstring. It shows, but hopefully means he’ll be back to himself after 10-15 games.

And also because he's not getting his free throws this season since they're considered fouls now.

Maybe Nash is out of his depth without D'Anotni on his staff.

They started off ok, or at least Steph did and then he went as cold as everyone else. Bad night all round.
Yeah. Some bad turnovers, the 8 second violation just brainless. Memphis are long and athletic and a solid team. Those two blocks in OT were so frustrating.

Just read this, sounds like music to my ears:

"NBA officials were told in the offseason to no longer reward fouls for "overt, abrupt or abnormal non-basketball moves." While Kerr is among those who appreciates the change, Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash hasn't been as happy.

After Nets star James Harden got off to a slow start to the year, Nash complained that Harden was being unfairly treated by officials who see him as the "poster child" of the rule changes. Harden hasn't taken more than four free throws in any of the Nets' five games so far this season after averaging 7.3 free-throw attempts per game a year ago."

I have zero sympathy, i can't imagine anyone thinks basketball is better with everyone trying to draw a foul every play by jumping into their opponent or otherwise looking for a foul without trying to take a normal shot.

P.J. Tucker looks like a loss for the Bucks and a win for the Heat, who have switched places in the standings from last season, at least so far.

Chris Paul's 4.4 assist to turnover ratio is incredible.

Will the Mavs beat a single playoff team this season?

Going to have a lot of fun watching the Rockets this season with Jalen Green. Love this kid.

Great game from Jordan Poole tonight. Steph was relatively anonymous but didn't need him. Good win!

I thought Steph was still effective as a true PG in terms of using his gravity/passing/awareness to create space and opportunities for the others. And his 10 4Q points helped kill the game. But yeah hardly shot the lights out. Great we can win comfortably with him shooting poorly. The defence in that third quarter was monstrous and I can’t get over how happy I was for GPII getting that ovation.

there was one assist from I think Bjelica in that second half that was great

I've got to admit to only having one eye on the game when it was on. Watched it again this morning and can see what you mean about GPII. That throw down dunk of his was top class as was his defense. Read this morning that Steph wasn't feeling well. It's nice to be able to win by 20 when he's not 100%. Definitely strength in numbers.

Westbrook with that turnover near the end. Meh the thunder are shite and we will be in the playoffs no matter what. Regular season is just about staying healthy and building rotations.

Can't believe how badly the Suns fecked up last year's draft when we picked Jalen Smith when Haliburton was available. The kid looks so good everytime I watch the Kings play.

When I watch the Rockets, these young guys could do with a floor general who can organise the offense. I don't know, someone like John Wall. It fun to watch, but it's kind of easy to see why they have so many turnovers.

Another great team win. Anyone know who Iggy was pointing at on the Pelicans bench after every assist?
