NBA 2020-2021

Feels like between points and assists(and would-be assists) Doncic has been responsible for like 80% of the mavs points

Even MJ couldn't win like this

Muppet in first row with number 2 on his back has to chill with those high 5s, he is bothering left and right person with it for every little thing.

As soon as Luka gets hot with Kawhi on him, Reggie Jackson of all people hits two clutch threes.

Where is THJ btw?

The Mavs sans Luka and DFS went 1/18 from three. I mean, I know THJ was due a cold game, but this was incredibly timing.

I'm about to lose hope for Porzingis. Even if he regains the step he's lost after his latest knee injury, the next one is probably right around the corner. Feels like the Mavs shot themselves and Luka in the foot for years to come with KP's contract.

Nah. Hawks aren't getting past the Sixers, Simmons will take over Trae duties and the hawks won't always score 20 3s...but even if they do, there's the still the Nets. Who are simply too talented even without the beard to not win the east
Yeah, I agree that's likely. I'd like to see the Jazz beat the Nets in the final.

Simmons guarded him in the last game and wasn't great at it. I don't think it's that easy.

I know Bucks have been really poor with their shooting but this is highly impressive from the Nets - everyone is contributing and not just the Big 2.

So when the Nets inevitably win on a canter, which superstar is going to move to create a competitor?

Having fans back is so much fun. Forgot how great the playoff atmosphere is.

Ayton matchup against the league's MVP went very well in Ayton's favour. He's just fantastic defensively and offensively. His rolls to the rim created tons of space for Booker and CP3 to work for.

Simmons guarded him on a few possessions and mostly got the better of him. Of course it's not easy, it's Trae fecking Young. Key isn't stopping Trae - that's impossible - it's to slow down the hawks offence, and Ben at the point of attack can do that i think. If the hawks don't bury the sixers under an avalanche of 3s, they lose imo

Suns - Nuggets, Ayton won the matchup with Joker handily in game 1. That's the key to the whole series honestly, Ayton doesn't even have to win it, just keep Joker looking like a mortal, and the Suns win the series. Really great team

Nets are such a juggernaut. Thought Bucks would at least make it interesting but the gap is too wide, when Nets click and are playing with effort they are impossible to play against. And this was without Harden...

At what point can Giannis leave the bucks and people will be ok with it? His only chance to win a chip there for me will be if they draft a kawhi type player or he manages to recruit a Doncic level player which I'm not even sure that would work with your cap. The bucks probably be dead without him but a basketball career is short and experiences are valuable. On the other hand being king of a city is not that bad and you earn fan adoration on a scale that is rare in American sports. Feels like he's fast approaching that fork in the road.

Does MPJ have a fitness problem or something?

He seems to disappear in the second half almost every single game I've seen him play.

All these European players stuck in woeful franchises... Doncic, Jokic, Giannis, Gobert...

In the end it will be a Clippers-Nets final this season

I wouldn't call Denver woeful, they just lost their second best player, who was amazing last year in the playoffs, to a season ending injury. If Murray were fit, Denver would be one of the favourites in the West for the finals. Add to that they have a great thing star in Porter jnr and a decent backup cast with Gordon, Morris and the currently injured Barton.

Jazz are doing really well also, I think they'll beat the Clippers unless they get injuries to Mitchell or any backup player. Jazz just has so many weapons on offense, though we saw the same from Clippers in game 7 with Morris and Jackson getting 20+ points.

All of these franchises are better than average. Jazz have the best record in the league ffs.

Gianni's has to take the KD challenge personally or they have no chance.
Durant is unguardable, he’ll easily match Giannis (actually outperformed him in the first two matches). He’ll score 30+ points in circa 20 shots regardless of what you do. Giannis can do that too in his good nights, but the problem is that Durant’s teammates are better than Giannis, so can see this end only in one way.

And the same will happen in the finals vs Leonard. They’ll essentially match each other, but Nets will win (would have happened the same against Raptors in the final if KD didn’t get injured). I actually think these three players are probably the best in the league (Steph might be there too) now that LeBron has slowed down.

They have to make it harder on him to score. If he scores at the rate he was going at last night they have zero chance. The only player that can slow him down is Giannis, everyone else is pretty much a mismatch. The problem is they don't have a clue, their set up is all over the place. Its not like James Harden is also playing.

Leonard wont reach the final so that's a moot point.

And what you describe is Durant playing his normal game, not Durant including tough shots or trying to reduce the load that his less talented teammates have to take. I really want to dislike the Nets and dishonestly argue against them but they are making my position untenable.

Middleton and Holiday have to be better. The Bucks can't let guys like Griffin out-perform those two.

The Sixers had ZERO points from the bench late into the 3rd quarter before getting 8 in the final 2 minutes

What's the point of Ben Simmons? Is he injured or something? I mean he is not shooting or handling the ball. Genuine question

Donavan Mitchell is something else. If Mike Conley comes back in decent shape this is going to be a long series.

So the Clippers made a big deal about them getting two elite two way wings but seemingly cant stop a single dominant offensive perimeter player.
