NBA 2018-2019

Not sure about Kyrie v Westbrook comparison. Both are toxic in a way, Westbrook is a far better defender and playmaker, Kyrie is streets ahead as a scorer.

People on Facebook Ringer site were trying to compare Dame with Kyrie recently, it was basically 60/40 towards Dame. I don’t think it’s particularly close when you consider Dame’s leadership and character.
I disagree with that. Kyrie has improved a lot defensively in the past two years. He's better than Lillard and not much worse than Westbrook.

He's a better player than Russ and has been for a while. I said it over a year ago.

Still cant believe that shot...Dame is so cold blooded man straight up baller!

Dame was 5 for 5 in the series from 30+ feet.

Also, i need a still shot of the announcers/clock table as Stotts walks by

Stotts is a gif worthy

Lillard opened a series with 30+feet shot in the 1st game. And then closed it.
The people at the table are the real show though. You have two announcers completely losing it, a woman just sitting back with a disbelieving smile on her face and two guys with their faces into the table

Need to find that.

It is from Jalen Rose today. I forgot it even as I watched that game 1

From 01:15

Edit: can't find this from giorno. Btw for all the criticism Russ took the loss pretty well putting the blame on him or what he could do better, so credit there.

He isn’t better defensively than Dame. Dame is very underrated in that aspect.

He isn't wrong, lillard has a 2 in 8 record from 35+ feet.

Yet he shot 4 out of 6 of them last night if I’m not mistaken, and 8 out of 12 in the series.

It was a bad shot because there no value in scoring 3 compared to 2 or even to 1 like there is in the second quarter. If he makes that shot 35% of the time then it's only a good shot if they couldnt score 36% on any other play. They had a lot of time to get whatever shot they wanted.

Yeah but this way he gets to feck with Westbrook and OKC. I say it's a push.

No risk on losing the ball and OKC weren't trying hard to defend it. If Blazers were losing, he would have gone for a higher percentage shot IMO.

Plus, it was awesome.

Don't get me wrong. It was cold blooded, he planned and executed it perfectly but it was not a good percentage shot.

It was good as I thought they didn't expect it (after putting the 3 from the same place just minutes before). Going into the rim against George is a worse option as you will hardly get the call in dying seconds.

Paul just should swallow it as Damian was crazy the whole night. Bitter statement imo.

Agree with this. It was the best way to ice the game imo.

I understand this take and was wondering what the hell he was doing but as it has been mentioned, going to the rim with George defending could have been less than 35% in this situation.

But you could have passed or ran a pick and roll or let CJ try something. The odds of Portland scoring on a given possession are greater than 35%, therefore a 35% shot is a bad shot.

Dame's shot was a bad one. He had a great defender on him, was miles out, and they only needed a 2. Full congrats to him making it but if I was offered that situation I would take the chance. The fact he has been hot all series probably lessens how 'bad' it was but George was right in what he said.

You're ignoring context. For Dame, there was no such as a bad shot in that game. And given how he's been shooting all series, that was in fact a pretty good shot. A clean look, in rhythm

You could argue he should have run a play, get the rest of the team involved and hunt for the best possible shot. Sure. But that's Damian Lillard with a scorching hot hand. Honestly, while i understand how bonkers it was, i'm surprised at people saying that was a bad shot. I mean, did you actually thought that wasn't going in?

Harden 8-24 for 20 points, barely went to the line, Rockets shooting 45.3%, 13-37 from 3...that's about as good as you can defend against them in Houston...and the Jazz are still losing this because they don't have enough offence of their own...
