NBA 2018-2019

Honestly, as an opponent Steph must be the most demoralizing player in NBA history. When he goes off like that, you can either double him at the half-court line and accept to play 3on4 defence, or you don't and he steals your soul

Still can't go past how impressed I am with Bucks this season. They are my number one team to watch this year. They needed Bud.

LeBron getting this Cavs team to Finals was the biggest individual achievement in sports ever. What an absolutely garbage team.

Rockets willing to give up 4 first rounders for Jimmy Butler. Someone should tell them that even with him they have no chance of beating the Warriors.

No Ariza, adding Melo, not to mention the Warriors have Cousins now.

Butler is a pretty fecking big upgrade on Ariza. Cousins have been injured for 8 months and will not return for another 4, he may not even be good this season.

Their loss against Warriors last season was also pretty crazy. They missed like 27 threes in a row. Make 20% of them and they would have won.

OKC  Credit to Boston but you simply cannot lose a game like that. 0-4.

Lonzo putting together a strong Shaqtin MVP candidature already so far this season.

All fair points but I think GS took their foot off the gas last season and nearly paid for it against Houston. Don't think they will make the same mistakes this season. Also, will Butler be happy essentially standing in the corner watching Harden dribble and simply going for catch and shoot 3s? 4 first rounders just seems like a lot to me.

I’m not sure. With this dominant teams I think year over year they become more
relaxed and less focused because the hunger decreases. They’ve won three championships in four years.

They would need to change the system significantly to accommodate him I agree. Paul adjusted to Harden being ball dominant, Butler would need to but it would be more difficult.

I heard Kevin O’Connor (think it was him) on the Ringer compare their style with current Bucks. I find Bucks much more fun to watch because they don’t have the most annoying thing about the Houston style - endless isolations.

Some of these first rounders could be very good for Minnesota. Houston will probably be very bad around 2022-23 and they are locked to this core.

We're such a sad, weird and frustrating team.

I watched the whole game because I was missing Adams over 9.5 rebounds to win $500, which he didn’t get in the end (came at 6 after averaging 14.5 before this season). Cruises until 3rd quarter, collapsed then but had a very strong start to fourth so I thought at one point it was no longer possible for them to bottle it. 16-1 to finish the game is just inexcusable.

The team goes as Russell goes - as it has since KD left. As soon as he started playing poorly in the last quarter it was going to be tough. George being poor didn't help either.

Your team are the reason I'm still cheerful this season despite my team turning to shit. :D

 fair. I was actually talking to a friend not long ago and I said that the only consolation was that Houston weren't looking great either.

Fun to watch the Lakers again

I think at this point it's fair to say OKC most likely won't win championship during Westbrook's time. Him and George aren't enough, the whole team is very flawed and it would be very difficult to address its issues unless they luck out in the draft (e.g. get someone like Donovan Mitchell with a late lotto pick).

Playoffs race will be fun in the West. I have 7 teams as locks: Warriors, Rockets, Jazz, Blazers, Pelicans, Lakers and Nuggets. The remaining 1 spot will be between Spurs, Thunder, Clippers and maybe Mavericks, Timberwolves and Grizzlies IMO. Only Kings and Suns won't be in it at all.

East will only really have 2 spots up for grabs for weaker teams too. Six belong to Raptors, Bucks, 76ers, Celtics, Pacers and Heat. Remaining 2 can be between Wizards, Pistons (though I think they're a lock), Hornets and maybe even Nets or Magic because of how weak it is there.

Steph is a criminal. There should be a limit on how many 3 pointers you can shoot in a game. Yesterday was pure filth and I felt bad about Wizards.
I'm not sure that would help much. The media have made a big deal about the fact that there have only been 13 examples of a player making 11 or more 3 pointers in a game and he has 6 of them. What they should also have mentioned is that apart from Klay Thompson (11 for 15) only Steph has made 11 pointers in a game at a better than 70% rate and he's done it 5 times. The other night was actually his WORST shooting performance where he's made 11 or more since he shot 11 for 16 which is only 69%.

I wasn't serious man. I love Steph and what he did that night, unfeckingbelievable.

I understand that. The point is that when he's hot its not volume of shots that gets him to these kind of numbers its that he doesn't miss much either.

Warriors era is over. LeBron Lakers gonna win it all baby :drool::drool:

In all seriousness, if the rockets have to give up tucker and gordon for butler i think they'll have a worse chance against the dubs than last year. It was the rockets D and depth that made that series close, and while butler certainly will help on the perimeter, Tucker at the 5 was the key. Capela was a non-factor in that series. And the dubs were without Iguodala and basically playing with only 4 attackers most of the time

There's been better defence in my local pick up games than in the league so far. So much cherry picking, so much standing while guys just drive in for lay ups.

Warriors have been absolutely unbelievable in that 4th quarter. Durant wow.

GSW just take the piss don't they? They only need to bother turning up for a quarter a match.

In the last 6.30 the Dubs outscored the Knicks 30-4.

I had Warriors -7.5 on a bet and thought it would be a struggle but was so pleasant to watch the last quarter.

Pelicans bottled my £448 though as I had them over 118.5. Feck.

They would need to give up some salaries. Just sending those 4 picks does not work but I also don’t think sending Tucker and Gordon is ideal. Looking at their salaries I don’t see what else they could do.

Seeing John Henson take and make three 3-pointers is pretty weird. It’s yet again that I will repeat this but this Milwaukee team is sweet now. Loving it.
