NBA 2016-17

That's true to an extent. Having high draft picks might not get you anywhere, Kings are a prime example. Even Cavaliers had to take four top 5 picks (and trade one for more experienced Kevin Love too) AND bring LeBron back to be competitive. Clippers situation once their big three and Redick plus Crawford decline looks pretty grim though. Zero young talent on that team and their picks situation does not look promising either. In 4 years they could be by far the worst team in the league.

Maybe. But it's worth playing out those 4 years. It's really hard to get back there. These are the glory years for Clippers fans.

This is the only award I care about.

So I am fine with this as my final list.

I don't think Paul ahead of Lillard based on this season is correct.

Paul George has been great too.
He's fantastic too. Indiana have surrounded him with a lot of competent players but ultimately not good enough for him to succeed. If they hadn't traded Leonard... well, they are kind of playing similar position, but could still work next to each other somehow, right?

Losing Kawhi for George Hill looks such a bad deal from Indiana's part in hindsight. But then, I don't think that anyone was expecting Kawhi to become near as good as he is now.

Feel for Paul George, he played very well. Agree with the pundits saying that Pacers shouldn't have called the timeout.

In a small ball lineup, they would be devastating.

That was a close win by the Cavs, but good job by Indiana pushing it to that point. Cavs were content with having anyone but PG make that shot.

Bucks v Raptors have been proper fun in the third quarter. Maker with some tough plays.

BTW Warriors scheduled Chance the Rapper concert on the night of possible Game 5 against Portland. Talk about arrogance.

Arrogance is nice if you can back it up. If not, then you look like the biggest fool. Lets see what happens.

I'd assume these concerts are scheduled way in advanced before the playoff schedules are announced. If the Warriors don't end up sweeping the Blazers, they'll get the priority and the concert moved to an off day.

Surprise win for Utah, without Gobert too (how unlucky, he did not even complete 1 minute of the game). Gives them a nice advantage and cancels out the homecourt advantage for Clippers.

Bucks won quite comfortably in the end. Amazing their defensive effort from them, they held Toronto to 32 points in the second half (just 13 in the final quarter). Maker and Brogdon were excellent in their first ever playoff appearances and Giannis was predictably fantastic. Good advantage for Bucks ahead of the next games.

Lowry was terrible last night. Raptors will be swept if he doesn't show up.

By the way, Isaiah Thomas's sister, Chyna Thomas, was killed in a car accident yesterday. May she rest in peace. Best wishes for the family.

Surprised that Utah pulled that win vs. Clippers without Gobert. Hayward is such a versatile player, I'd love to see him or PG with the Nuggets next season.

Read about it this morning. RIP and best wishes to Isaiah and his family. Such a sad thing, and at such a pivotal moment in his life

Nurkic is out for Game 1. There goes our 5% chance of going 1-0.

Hawks - Wizards can't get me excited, to be honest. I'm falling asleep.

Edit: Second half has been much better, to be fair. Wall has turned it on and is unstoppable right now.

Lilliard and especially McCollum hard carrying the Blazers (as expected). They'll need to get the supporting cast more involved, not going to be sustainable as he's making some tough shots.

Damn, McCollum taking over the game as I type this. 27 in the first half with 5 min + left in the 2nd.

Lillard and McCollum with 48 out of Portlands 56 points in the first half, the latter looking like prime Jordan so far out there.
Blazers need the rest of the team to step up, those two won't stay hot all the time and Warriors will eventually go on a run.

Edit: Damn, @Sarni was quicker:p

McCollum and Lillard have been flawless so far, having scored 48 out of 56 points for Blazers.

Curry and KD decent, Klay shit in the first half.

Nurkic is out, that's the problem.
