NBA 2016-17

Isn't Lil'B a GSW fan? Kd isn't going to the Celtics to play with Horford and Ish when he has the option to play alongside Green, Curry, and Thompson.

It's either GS or stay put. The way he left the court after WCF, makes me lean toward the Warriors.

He is but I honestly do not know if he would lift his 'curse' or not

Durant will disrupt the team flow. Plus it won't be his team no matter what.
The first point is possible since any time you have a major change it can effect team dynamics but since Durant would cost the Warriors $26.6M and Barnes (if they match the Mavs offer) $23.75M you've really got to take the opportunity if it comes up. The second point depends on how you look at things, because if Durant comes to the Dubs I would expect him to be their top scorer. The way the Warriors are set up though with Curry/Thompson/Green/Iguodala as selfless as they appear to be, I'm not sure it actually matters. Initially, I was worried about whether there would be enough shots to go around but last year Durant took 1,381 shots and Harrison Barnes and Marreese Speights took about 1,100 between them so with a bit of creative juggling I don't think that would be huge either since if Durant comes I would be surprised if Speights came back and of course Barnes would be gone.

Having said all that, I would be absolutely amazed, poleaxed, gobsmacked if Durant leaves OKC.

From KD/Ibaka/Harden and Westbrook to just Westbrook, cold world.

Just absolutely destroyed. Not sure what to feel.

Russ will for sure go ham against GSW whenever we play though. 60-15-15 on 40 FGAs probably.

Is this the end of the OKC franchise as in they wont be competing again anytime soon. Im sure Westbrook is going to leave too.

Should have stayed with OKC. They were so close last season and they would have returned stronger this year with the signings they made.
But now its practically over. No team can match the Warriors. They are about as stacked as you can get. Only the C position isnt great.

Might try and trade him. Lakers for Ingram/Russell? Or they might keep him, who knows.

The king is still alive. All hail the king!

If Lebron, big if, but if he can topple this super team and win another ring, is he the GOAT? IMO it would put him level with Jordan at least.

Why would the Lakers make that trade ? Westbrook has a year left and could quite easily end up being the senior member of a team with a very good young core if they waited for him in FA.

Pretty sure he's got the regular season MVP on lock if he fancies it. I can't see them giving it to either Curry or Durant on the back of this, same as 11 basically when he got robbed by Rose.

I'm just trying to be unrealistically positive . Not thinking rationally at the moment :(:(

If this works, I just don't know how this team can be stopped. Golden State were already fantastic but with Durant there, it will be unstoppable.

NBA over for the next few years, absolutely zero chance anyone will lose to these mob now. Absolutely nuts. Can they do this though, they don't have cap space without offloading Bogut or Iggy?

They need Bogut, but removing Iggy and replacing him with Durant is a good move. I can only imagine the shooting next season. They have arguably the three best shooters in the NBA.

Send them over to the Lakers. Luke would want Iggy.

I'm under the impression Bogut will leave.

Should have stayed with OKC.

Even if he wins a ring with the Warriors its going to feel hollow.

He's probably sick and tired playing with Westbrook. Going to be interesting to see how GS is going to share shots between Curry, Thompson and Durant.

Gobsmacked....................................

Lebron's rings don't feel hollow now, even though everybody said that at the time.

It was the best move for KD, especially considering the fact that GS lost this year. If he wins a couple of rings there different stories will be written and he will be remembered as one of the greatest (not just another Charles Barkley).

Also, if GS win a championship, 90% Durant will win the finals MVP as well.

No brainer really and he made the right decision.

Their ball movement is insane, especially with Greens playmaking ability as a big. so its going to be next to impossible to defend against as they just space the floor and wait for the best looks.

I think Bogut will be sacrificed and possibly Festus. No way Iguodala since he was part of the "Group of 4" that were in the talks with KD

The thing I don't get with American sports is that if KD stays and his team is rubbish but he plays really well people will say he's not this or he's not that but if he puts himself in the best possible position to win a ring then it's hollow etc. I mean considering the way KD played down the stretch in his last series in a OKC shirt then this is pretty cold but feck it, get your money and your rings.

Woohoo, woohoo, woohoo again. Sorry! Just can't believe it. More woohoos.

Woohoo!

His team wasn't rubbish though. His team were 3-1 up on the team he just joined, on the way to an NBA finals.

I know but he's still put himself in a better position to win rings, if he stayed at OKC and didn't win anything then he'd be a loser but now he's joined GSW he's still a loser apparently.
