NBA 2016-17

To be honest even sitting up the back there you could get a great view of the game. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the only problem was we were in the two seats nearest to the walkway/stairs so people blockd the view coming up and down - and of course moving for everyone who wants to get in and out of our row was a pain.

"I want to win the Western Conference, try to beat everybody in the Western Conference — which is a tough task," he said Monday, via NBA.com. "There are so many good teams. So that's got to be our only focus, to win the Western Conference. And then, if Cleveland comes out of the East, I want to destroy Cleveland. No ifs, ands and buts about it."

"But I also know that there's steps to get to that point," Green said. "And if and when we get to that point, I want to annihilate them.”

"Like I said, I can’t sit and watch that game and feel comfortable knowing that this is Game 7 of the NBA Finals, tied up with four minutes, and we lost," he said. "Like, I can’t, I’m not comfortable watching that. So I haven’t watched much of it. I watched a little bit of it. But I don’t plan on watching much more."

Draymond Green.

Facepalm.

I give up.

Been an odd game so far. Ian Clark was a star for the Dubs off the bench in the first half and Steph Curry was dire. Third quarter Curry turns it around completely and scores 23 points. This third quarter is the best the Warriors have been so far this season.

This was really, really bad. We have no defense and are making a habit out of shite 3rd quarters

Man being a Laker fan has been tough these past few years. We could have easily been 4-0 if we played better in the last 5 mins of our past three games but I guess that's the up and down of a young team. One moment I'm excited, and one moment I'm frustrated. Hopefully it will be worth it soon enough.

Offensively he's probably a top 5 or so player in the league but he doesn't do much on the other end and ends up with flattering stats.
He has improved on that so much this year, also the season before last, last season he wasn't as good.

Spurs lost at home and ofcourse in the game I stayed awake to watched it. Apart from Leonard it was a really bad display from Spurs.

Another loss for us last night against the Pistons. Think it's going to be a long season for us...

Was at the Rockets v Nicks game - Harden put on quite the show.

Not sure what was up with the Nicks, they made far too many mistakes and were poor for a team with several big names in the side.

And that's that! Thunder get the 2 point win against Clippers at LA. Quite a lot of missed opportunities for both teams.

4-0 start for Thunder and Westbrook added 35 more points to his season tally.

Blazers do not even look like a playoff team right now. Lost to a buzzer beater from Bledsoe after crawling back from 6 points down with 35 seconds to go. We have to start playing defense instead of counting on Lillard to pull us out ot the trouble all the time.

Blazers like Warriors. You have good outside shooters but lack rim protection. You get Festus fit and IMHO things will change around dramatically.

We have two outside shooters though, three at a push if we count Crabbe but he's coming off the bench. CJ has not been great either, we basically have to run everything through Dame to even stand a chance.

Aminu is just throwing bricks, Harkless despite claiming he can now shoot still cannot shoot, the likes of Davis and Plumlee cannot score from further than 1 yard out, and Vonleh who was our best player not named Lillard in game 1 against Utah has not even been getting any opportunities. It's a mess, Stotts should trust his youngsters a bit more - Layman knocked 17 points against Warriors in 8 minutes and did not even get on court last night. Meyers has been Meyers, actually last night was his bright spot and I am hoping he can build on that - not hoping for too much with him, the best case scenario he's probably going to be a trade bait for us. Turner has not adjusted at all so far, he slows us down when he plays point.

Ezeli would improve us a lot but he's apparently not going to be available earlier than Spring, which sucks. We will probably have to trade for someone by that time to have a chance of nice playoff seed (or any playoff seed).

Honestly, we have some young promising players tied up to decent contracts, so we will probably use them in trades sooner or later. Philly are shopping Nerlens Noel and he would be incredible fit here. They need a shooter badly, and we have Crabbe tied up to a 4-year, $75M contract, he would start for them immediately. We would be missing back up at guard positions but that could be solved with some veteran - just trade for someone like Collison or Mills to play combo-guard, using our less valuable assets. Then we still have Aminu, Ed Davis, Plumlee and Leonard who can be potentially consolidated in a trade, also Evan Turner if he does not turn it around. If we are nicely positioned for a playoff spot and Bucks are still tanking, I would offer them 2-3 assets and maybe even throw in a pick for Khris Middleton to play third man role. Power forward position I would just hand over to Noah Vonleh, or trade for a short stop gap signing like Taj Gibson. This is just talk though, but I can't see any other scenario than us trading for a few players by trade deadline.

Harden has been great this season, only Westbrook and Davis have been as good.

Lillard. We're 2-3 but Pelicans are 0-5 and Lillard has been carrying us even more than Davis at New Orleans.

The issue with their big names is that if you put them together in 2011, they would have probably got you very far in the playoffs but their problem is it's not 2011 anymore. They should really blow it up and build around younger players like Denver and Minnesota are doing, short term you will be terrible but long term you will benefit from that, especially in times when mid-tier players are getting $15M a year and you can have a terrific rookie at less than $5M for 4 years.

I like what they're doing at Denver BTW. Loving the frontcourt of Jokic and Nurkic, and there's lots of potential in the backcourt too with Mudiay, Gary Harris and Jamal Murray. Will Barton also looks a solid rotation player, shame we didn't keep him and got short term Afflalo nonsense instead.

Individual performance though those 4 have been better than all the NBA(sorry forgot Lillard)

Yep I agree. I was just adding Lillard to the list because I believe he's been about as good as them or just slightly below. Shame his teammates have been very disappointing.

Aye, same applies to all of them except Westbrook.

Kawhi? He has been great, surely he failed to get a win for Spurs against Utah but he improved in attack, his defensive game was never really a question.
