NBA 2014-2015

Not since 2009. He has gone through several phases in his career. As a rookie, he was a bad outside shooter. He basically just bulldozed his way to the rim. Then once Cleveland started getting good, he was still basically the only outlet for scoring on that team. Once he was in Miami, he played a lot more at the 4 (which you can see here) and didn't have to force bad shots anymore.

Plus the spacing and ball movement was much better in Miami. There was a lot less iso ball so easier shots for him.

Wow Curry was awful! GS will come win the series they shot the ball poorly and still had chances to win.

Last night disgusted me. I get that they missed calls on both teams but the officiating overall was biased towards one team and was just horrible in general. One team shot 40 f*cking free throws. I don't need to tell anyone which player was on the team that shot that many. It's telling that the biggest gripe the Cavs have was the foul on LeBron by Iggy which came right after a blatant travel no call by LeBron (what's new?). All playoffs whenever the Cavs have failed to get a rebound there's generally been a whistle coming. Seems like the refs have bought into the media hype of the vastly and laughably overrated Tristan Thompson. He didn't get the board? He must've been fouled! He's honestly up there as one of the 'dirtiest' players down low that I've seen. Always pushing and pulling but never seems to get called for it. Van Gundy had a little rant when Curry drew contact from the moron that is JR Smith yet 10 minutes earlier in the 4th when LeBron did it to Iggy while throwing in a sneaky little elbow to his dick the only thing JvG could say was "that's a foul!". A staggering level of bias.

LeBron's one of the best players ever and you can only marvel at his talent but as someone who loves the game of basketball it really saddens me to see him/his team get so many superstar calls on a regular basis. Every drive to the rim he pushes off. Every damn time. I've yet to see them call it. In the ECF I saw Paul Millsap get a tech for saying to the ref "are you serious?" after a bad call against him. Whenever LeBron gets a foul against him he jumps up and down like a petulant child, screams at the refs, runs up and down the court, very rarely does he get penalised for it. Last night he was screaming at a ref and put his hand on his shoulder (I know, terrifying moment for the ref etc...) but he is supposed to be tech'd for that. It's pretty automatic actually. He wasn't given a tech. It all just adds up for me. I shouldn't watch an all time great player and feel such an intense dislike but I do and I never used to. The dick-riding that goes on, the flopping, the blatant uncalled shit that goes in his favour, his over-inflated sense of self-importance.

He's like the anti Tim Duncan.

This shit is just ridiculous.

A lot to unpack here, some valid points too but since I'm on my phone, rewatch the last play of regulation, lebron was fouled about 7 times.

Crooked refs.

Undoubtedly he was fouled but I've honestly never seen them call any foul in those situations regardless of the player. It's like there's this fallacy that in the last two minutes of a playoff/finals game the refs need to 'let them play'. I'm not sure if refs are worried of the backlash in case they get the call wrong and the game is won on BS free throws or whatever the reason but it's a regular occurrence that as the game winds down they seem to let them be a lot more physical. I disagree with it personally but it's always been that way.

That's interesting, though they didn't post the relevant angle on the last possession of regulation. Do they do that for every game?
Every game where the lead is five points or less when there is exactly two minutes left. If a team was up by 6 with 2:00 left they don't do it even if the game was won by one point.

On a different note, Mario Hezonja is gonna be a great rookie selection. I can see him already as a top 3 for the rookie MVP race next season.
