Nba 2008-2009

Good game going on right now, 79-78 Cleveland atm. These conference finals have been great, really showcasing some good basketball and top players.

A funny thing they showed after Dhoward got his tech tonite which gives him six in the postseason, and if he gets one more he will be suspended a game, my main point is they listed the top five techs in the playoffs and Howard was first with 6, Kobe second with 5, and Melo tied for third with 4

Yeah looks like Orlando is gonna win it. That was fecking clutch by LeBron to hit those two free throws with 0.5 left. As for the inbounds play I thought Howard was fouling Varejo more than Varejo was fouling Howard, in the end a decent call by the ref to not blow the whistle. Clutch by Howard there draining two FTs 113-109 with 21 seconds to go.

116-114 LeBron nearly wins it from half court. Have to say I am shocked over this series, 3-1 down, and well basically out.

Very close.

The playoffs have been brilliant.

Even though I'd like to Kobe vs. LeBron in the finals, Orlando and Cleveland have been brilliant.

3-1 Orlando. Game 6 will be key.

Yeah I reckon game 5 will go to Cleveland no questions asked... Game 6 will be the REAL teller of Orlando's will.

And hell, if Orlando win game 5, I can't look past them winning the title...

Orlando - Denver would be one of the most entertaining team games you'll ever see... and David Stern would hate it... awesome

So glad Orlando won that game. That was never a foul on LeBron. If anything, he charged the opposing player.

50/50... the correct call would have been no call at all, but NBA refs don't know how that works

BIG match tonight, I think LeBron explodes and Game 6 is the teller.

Gortat could poke someone's eye out with that schnoz

After being up 20+ Cleveland are up by 1 at half time.

I expect it with Denver-LA, with Cleveland I think they will lose in game 6, if they win game six, they will win the series fo sho.

LeBron taking Cleveland on his back again, I get the feeling Hova likes him more than Beyonce

LeBron has scored or assisted on Cleveland's last 32 points.

It must be said he has been incredible all series, if they pull through, and that is a big if because I reckon they will lose in Otown but if they do it will one of the greatest series by a player ever

Story of the series.

As much as anyone says it could have been an Orlando sweep ( ) it very easily COULD have been a Cleveland sweep... they looked monsterous to start games 1 and 2 and such on, they cant close games out like that, Orlando are such a good team.

All I know is the refs have turned this from one of the best NBA Playoffs in recent memory to, well, one of the hardest to watch... you know the best 4 teams are in this (Roll a dice if Boston had KG, you get my point), and the 2 best TEAMS are in this, but jesus it's embarassing and long-winded watching some of these games.

I think a change needs to be made this summer, either with timeouts or with officials, because the "time" it takes to play a game is getting longer.

As unlikely as it is, it is still just one game at a time. At this point, LeBron just has to win two games in a row. Against good opposition of course. But still. If you ask yourself if LeBron can win two games in a row against anybody, I think the answer is an unequivocal yes, moreso than if you replace him with any other player in the game today.

Game 6 is it, there's no way Orlando wins this series following a loss in game 6 (Despite already doing it to Boston) because LeBron is just so fecking good.

I think regardless of a title or not, Cleveland will have to break the bank for a big body next season, to keep LeBron in town... Chris Bosh comes to mind, 1 year left on his contract and never going to be a superstar at this level, he'll be LeBron's Gasol if you will.

Toronto would go through another shit spell, but i'm ready to let Bosh go if the time comes.

Lakers up by 11 just before the half, Denver is t not playing well, 50-39

Seems like Calderon is the only untouchable player on your team.

Really good game by Bryant

This is the reason I want to see LeBron vs. Bryant. They have been brilliant and it would be a sight to see seeing them square off against each other.

LeBron has been better by some distance imo, Kobe is a fecking champ and also has the better team that said I think it would still be up in the the air. If LA gets Orlando I reckon it could be blowout city.

Which is where we need the biggest upgrade other than a C

Lakers show they're the team to beat... Denver puts their name in contention for next season.

The Sactown Royalty community has floated the idea of a trade of Nocioni + the #4 pick (and possibly the #23 or #31 pick as well) for Calderon and the #8 pick.

Looks like there's some concerns about Calderon's age and his defense. This would is also contingent on the Rubio situation and on how much Geoff Petrie likes the other point guards in the draft. But for the most part this seems like something that could work with a few tweaks. Interesting to see what you think.

I would take it in a heartbeat.

We're in this draft for a PG, no doubt in my mind, unless we move up, then we hope to get Thabeet or another big man.

Honestly both Thabeet and Jennings are projects, and we're in a position to get one or the other... i'd prefer the latter because his raw basketball ability is second to none...

Lakers vs Orlando it is

Since I'm kind of new to the NBA, haven't watch it since Supersonic went to the final in 96 vs the bulls, what is the situation with LeBron now, surely he'll leave if they don't strengthen the team. Since he can be playing with a better team and get a lot more money, especially in marketing.

So glad to see the Cavs eliminated. The hype would have been unbearable. It's LAL's championship to loose now. I think Orlando can give them some interesting matchups with their long range shooting. If I'm Phil, and believe me that I haven't the slightest coaching ability he has, I'd just let Howard get his numbers down low and look to close down Orlando's 3-point shooting. If Orlando isn't knocking down the long range shots they haven't a chance to win a seven game series.

I'm picking the Lakers in 5.

Oh feck me. I get sick of athletes claiming God made it possible. Does that mean God decides sporting events?

He has a year left on his contract, he would leave regardless, and go to New York will he will become an even bigger star, and make more money via media
