Lakers, Cavs or Celtics i reckon for the title.

Leaning towards a Cavs run to be honest

All of sudden the East may have got more difficult than the West dont forget that, the only teams that could possibly touch the Lakers in the West are the Spurs(now), and the Hornets and Nuggets if they strengthen. Whoever are the 2nd and 3rd seed in the east in trouble because it is gonna be a dogfight, personally I pick Kobe over LeBron in the end, not in terms of players but teams and team leaders. LeBron is clearly gonna be one of the best ever, this could be his year, but I am not sure yet, still think it shall swing to the LA Lakers

Good case,

The parity in the east to go with the fact some teams are under-achieving means we could have an interesting battle in the East.

Lakers have been impressive of late despite loss of Bynum

Worst dunk contest ever...

One good dunk, and only for the symbolism when Nate jumped over D12

Rudy Fernandez had the two best dunks in the competition.
Rudys first dunk was old and people have done it better than he did his second one was real nice but took him nine attempts.
The game stats in 2.75 hours

Shaq's introduction was awesome he started dancing with the Jaberwokeez. He is just too cool, when I grow up I want to be Shaq hahaha

A VERY sad day for basketball.

CHICAGO -- Johnny "Red" Kerr, the former Chicago Bulls coach who spent more than three decades as a broadcaster for the team, died Thursday. He was 76.

Kerr died at his home after a battle with prostate cancer, Bulls spokesman Tim Hallam said.

"His name was synonymous with basketball, both here in Chicago, and throughout the entire NBA," Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said. "Those that were fortunate enough to have known Johnny were touched by both his tremendous compassion for people, and his lifelong passion for the game of basketball. We will miss him greatly."

Kerr's death is a double blow for the Bulls, following the death also Thursday of Norm Van Lier, one of the most popular players in Bulls history. Van Lier was 61.

"We're deeply saddened by the whole course of events today," Hallam said.

The Bulls unveiled a statue of Kerr at the United Center during an emotional ceremony earlier this month that included taped messages from President Barack Obama and commissioner David Stern and speeches from Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.

Pippen said Kerr "makes Chicago Bulls basketball what it is," while Jordan called him "an inspiration to me as a basketball player and as a person."

Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson was informed of Kerr's death during his team's victory over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.

"We traveled a lot together over the 11 years I was with the Bulls, nine as the head coach," Jackson said. "It's with a degree of sadness that we remember him. We knew he was failing, but we didn't know it would be this quick."

A Chicago native who served as the team's first head coach and received NBA Coach of the Year honors for leading the Bulls to the playoffs in the inaugural 1966-67 season, Kerr also received a photo collage from Bulls GM John Paxson and the Basketball Hall of Fame's John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award from Jerry Colangelo during the ceremony.

"I want to thank everybody here in the audience who has seen the Bulls play not because of Red Kerr but because of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and all the other people in the organization," said a choked up Kerr.

Kerr played 12 seasons (1954-1966) in the NBA for the Syracuse Nationals, Philadelphia 76ers and the Baltimore Bullets. From 1954 to 1965, the three-time NBA All-Star appeared in a then-NBA record 844 consecutive games.

He is survived by five children and 10 grandchildren.

Plans to honor Kerr were pending, Hallam said.

A good majority of my family from my mothers side reside in the Chicago area, and this man is an individual that will always be a part of my families past.

May he rest in peace.

Prostate cancer is a bitch, if you are a man and live long enough you will get it. RIP

Its a pity that the players around Wade are mediocre. Did you watch the double OT buzzer beater today ? If the Heat had another dominant player, their record would be far better and he'd surely win.

Lebron was brilliant early on in the season but the Cavs seem to be in cruise control now.

This one is almost like Messi (Kobe - probably the most talented of the three, can be surrounded and still sink the fade away with a couple of hands in his face) vs Ronaldo (James - a physical beast with his pace, quickness, acceleration and athleticism combined with skills is unmatched by anyone else. He can hurt the opposition in more ways than the others) vs Kaka (Wade - ability and athleticism is kinda in between James and Kobe. One man team carrying the Heat on his own)

Wade really is a great player stuck on a lottery team. Anderson, you support the hawks?

What are the bookies like in canada? Do wag their finger at you and smile knowingly when you don't pay them you debts?

I do I'm not saying he is playing great, but Kobe and LeBron have been doing it all season and have teams with much better records.

Wade has been doing it all season too...the only difference being that he doesnt have a Gasol or a Mo Williams on his team. If he had another quality star, Heat would have a better record and would be genuine title contenders.

No they wouldn't, Kobe Bryant put up 35.4 ppg in 2005-6 went for 60 in 3 quarters one game and 81 v Raptors that year, yet as Nellie Furtado sang he couldn't be MVP like Steve Nash. It's generally the best player on the best team that wins it, regardless of other outstanding performances across the league.

^what he said

if wade wins the mvp, and i'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, then it would have been an injustice to kobe for the previous 2-3 seasons before last season where he was as great as ever and was the best player in the planet but because his team sucked with kwame clown and that headless chicken smush parker it went to steve nash. they need to be consistent in giving out the award
