Nba 2007-2008

I had game 1 to Boston, the first finals home game in 21 years, the home crowd fervor, the press buildup, the hype, etc., all would play into Boston's hands and they'd win. I have LAL down for game 2. I predicted a split when the series heads to LA.

For your consumption, this is what my forecast shows.

Game 1: Boston (obvious now)
Game 2: LAL
Game 3: LAL
Game 4: Boston
Game 5: LAL
Game 6: LAL

BTW, it's so annoying hearing clueless people from Boston comparing Pierce to Reed. FFS.

This Pierce shit is a fecking joke now.

Bumped into this interesting picture:

I have now lost all respect for Kevin Garnett.

Sweet jesus, i have lost all affection towards the Boston area after that pic.

Go Lakers, Go Yankees, Go Jets :smirk:

Do or die for the Lakers tomorrow. If they have any life in this series they have to win game two. Let's see how good Mr Kobe Bryant really is.

Insane comeback from the Lakers but Boston scrape through.

That will definately give them confidence bringing it back to LA, but having said that not many teams have come back from 2 games down, Miami being the only ones I can think of in recent times.

Insane 4th quarter from the Lakers.

You´re right I_live_cement the Lakers´ confidence will grow from this, but on the other hand it might also work in the Celtics´ favour, it might teach them not to be so complacent in future games.

IT IS SHOWTIME!!!! Pumped for this, things will change at Staples I assume, this could turn into another great Finals between the Lakers and Celtics, Im sure David Stern hopes so well

The Refs where a fecking joke I must say.

meh

Deserved win for Celtic in the end. Lakers defense has gone completely missing, while Celts have dealt really well with Bryant.

Jackson screwed badly last nite as well, he allowed Celts to go on 11-0, 12-0 runs at times.

And worse of it all, Celtic want this more than the Lakers. Their intensity is there for everyone to see.

Celts the obvious favs now, Lakers need to win the next 3. No margins of error anymore.

Now? They were the real favs from the start.

i used to like paul pierce since he was from LA, but now i hate him. what a freakin pansy-ass bitch, diving and playacting like a little girl.

but damn, i think i'll kill myself if we lose the series

I turned off the tele as the 4th quarter began. I'm glad I didn't stay up as that finish would have had me ballistic. How dare the Lakers feck with our emotions like that and still lose? :nono:

I'm curious which Celtics spare will have the game of his life next outing.

Oh, and I expect more trips to the free throw line for the home team in LA. It's the way of the NBA. Afterall, the league wants 6 or 7 games for ratings, marketing, ticket purchases, advertising revenues, post-season dvd sales, etc. ;)

I fully expect the Lakers to be at their best tonight and win. Can´t see them losing 3 in a row.

Surprised this place is so quiet after an LA win. The free throw misses in the game was shocking and only 4 players in the entire game was in double digits.

NBA is a farce.

The amount of home calls a team get is scandalous. If I was a conspiracy nut, I could make a good case of a fix.

Last night´s game was a bit disappointing.

Apart from Kobe and Allen, none of the so-called "Big Names" showed up. Paul Pierce was especially shocking. Kevin Garnett and Pau Gasol were way under-par and while I´m not sure if they count as a big names, Odom and Fisher, who are important to the Lakers, were very bad.

Before I watch these games there´s always a few players I´m looking forward to seeing, and apart from the 2 I mentioned before, those players were all disappointing. I´m not that disappointed in the result though, because as a neutral I want the series to be as exciting as possible.

I really couldn't care less that he's wearing a chelsea shirt. The guy's a pro on and off the floor and he and reggie miller are my two favourite players of all-time. He deserves a ring.

feck that. If guys like Barkley, Ewing, Baylor, etc., never got a ring, I have no sympathy if Garnett doesn't win a championship.

Just like Marino never winning a Super Bowl.

Or Ernie Banks winning a World Series.

Like that official on betting charges talking about the fix in game 6 a few years ago that allowed the Lakers to win and send the series to game 7 (which LA eventually won over Sacramento). There were some dubious calls in that game and it was one-sided. Although any team featuring the king of all floppers, Vlade Divac, deserves every call to go against them.

Good for you then. As I stated earlier he is one of my favourite players of all-time and I would very much like to see him win an nba ring. Didn't barkley win a ring? I always thought he did. As for ewing and marino at least they got a final. I have no idea who baylor or ernie banks are, sorry.

Kindly, go and feck yourself. I'm a die hard Kings fan and basketball is by far my favourite sport. That "loss" still hurts to this day. Every fan of every team (except for the Lakers, who are more deluded than scousers) admit that that game is the worst officiated game in the history of the NBA. It was unbelievably biased. Divac was a flopper, but a great player. Lakers had their own little flopper in Fisher.
Come on, Divac fouling out in 31 mins, Webber finishing with 5 fouls, and Pollard fouling out after 11 fecking minutes? You gotta be kidding me. Or how about when Bibbys nose fouled Kobes elbow? Even when it resulted in Bibby spread out on the floor with a bloody nose, they still saw it as a foul on Bibby. Unbelievable.
Everybody with a brain knew something was up with that game. Their was no way refs could be consistently that bad. Donaghys allegations just confirmed what everybody thought (although Stern will go to great lengths to sweep this under the rug).

What the feck are you bitching about? That game 3 saved you from looking like a total dickhead.

You still couldn't beat them at home in game 7... so feck off.
