Nations League 24/25 | October Internationals (Matchday 3-4)

Didn't they just replace the international friendlies with these games?

Never as many as six friendlies in space of three months.

They rejigged the calendar as previously you'd always start the next qualification phase straight after major tournament so by now there should be World cup qualifiers but they've been pushed back to March 2025 to play the six nations league games.

Am I imagining things or wasn't there just groups of three when the nations league started?

Not sure how you can judge based on their game given Bellingham is playing as a number 9 and Foden is playing as a number 10.
Hasn’t worked in any game those two have played together, this is just shoehorning them into the same team. Every man and his dog knows Watkins should be starting over Foden with Kane out.

San Marino currently 0-0 away to Gibraltar at half time.

They are top of nations group D as it stands. Do they actually get a chance in the play offs if they win or are there restrictions in place e.g sporting merit as that would be a walking bye into the finals for whoever drew them.

Perhaps, but Rashford has a much higher top level, and has been in decent form of late.

Are you advocating we play players based on their maximum peak ability rather than how they've been performing for....the past 2 years?

Guess we bring back Raheem Sterling

Foden really shouldn't be starting England games. Just floating around 25 yards out doing very little.

Is Bellingham playing at the back? Seems like he is clearing and blocking more than he should be

There were but Germany got relegated so they added a team.

Man. United could've done worse than sign Pavlidis. Did well for Alkmaar last few seasons and Benfica signed him for 15m so a few goals in CL and he'll go for at least double that next summer.

Trying to shoehorn every creative player is never going to work. England have 4 players wanting to all do the same thing out here.
