Nasri To City - Done Deal!

Does anyone know much about this Ricky Alvarez that Arsenal are supposed to have an agreement with (according to Palermo's president)? I've only seen him on youtube and its said he's an attacking midfielder/left sided player. From the looks of it he could potentially be a replacement for Nasri and Roma have said they wont pay the 15 million euros to sign him, which suggests he's going to cost a fair bit by Arsenal's standards

The story was that he was out of contract and we were going to get him on a free. Now it's a fee of £11M. I've only seen a pic of him with his top off and he's a big muscled 6ft 2in.

I assume he can play otherwise Wenger wouldn't be interested - it wouldn't hurt to replace a few techno-midgets with some big ugly bastards.

Getting rid of Rosicky would be a decent start.
He was really fecking annoying. We spend two years sorting out his injury problems and might have expected a contribution as a squad player and he was shite warmed up.

On first glance (2 matches) he didn't look like a special talent but he showed he could play a fairly disciplined cm role and he had a bit of bite which was pretty impressive given I was expecting a South American flair player (like Patito Rodriguez). Quick across the ground (but not lightning) with those big, long strides of his and he uses his body well in dribbling, knows how to pick a short pass too. Looked similar to the style of midfielder Anderson is, not sure how he approaches a wide position though (where he supposedly played a lot).

Yeah, he looked good for feck all last season. He must surely be getting the boot this summer?
He's off. I'd like to get some money back from the Bundesliga teams who remember him as the Little Mozart or my little dumpling. Eine Kleine (completely) Knackered Music.

If Nasri is determined to come to United then there is no point in keeping him at Arsenal. His contract will soon which would pave the way to sign with us. Arsene should try to negotiate the best possible deal with us and use the money on someone else.

According to Neil Ashton of NOTW, Fergie is desperate to buy Nasri and willing to pay 25Mil. He just said that on Talksport.

I highly doubt Nasri wants to move though. He will eventually get his 100k+ salary and will sign a five year contract with the Gunners.

Nah we can do better for that amount.

You'd be very hard pressed to find a better player for £25m, particularly one who has proven himself in the Premier League and has at least 6-7 years left at his peak.

Nasri for 20-25mil would be money well spent. Proven in premier league, wouldnt need much time to settle in, and a very good player. Still think it's all bollocks, but one does like to dream every once in a while.....

My lips are sealed...

Nice, perfect opening plays of the ITK handbook, textbook stuff, if anyone else wants to try it, this is the dream, top top ITKing

Step 1 - Say you have info
Step 2 - Build desire to know by saying you can't tell us

I await Step 3 whereby you tell us a time where you can announce info which will build hype to uncontrollable levels, and then finally Step 4 - the back out

But so far so good, loving your work

Central midfield next to Carrick or Fletcher (or maybe Jones?) in a 2 or any of Carrick/Fletcher/Anderson/Jones/Park in a 3?

Could he play in a 2? Not sure he has the discipline or defensive ability...

Migliaccio is phoning someone at some point, soon.

More at quarter to four tomorrow.

Nasri is going to get a big fecking new contract deal soon, probably announced by Arsenal the day Fabregas is sold.

In fairness we only really play a midfield 2 in games where we are more likely to dominate possession and territorially, against teams who are sitting deep looking to defend and maybe scrape a win but mostly looking for 1 point. Our defence coupled with Carrick's defensive know how should be able to deal with this in most situations, so he wouldnt really be expected to be overly disciplined or defensive. In games where we need defensive discipline (mostly against the other top sides), we usually play a 3, and he can be the more attack minded of the three with Fletch and Carrick (as an example) supplementing him defensively.
