Name four players you think we'll buy in the summer

Lindelof, keane, morata, perisic, hopefully nainggolan and mendy. Would be a very good window even if it doesnt include any star names (nainggolan as close as it gets though).

Four signings...lining up something like this...

---------------De Gea----------------
Valencia--Bailly--Lindelof--Darmian
----------------Fabinho---------------
-----------Herrera---Pogba----------
Mkhitaryan-----Morata------Perisic

No number 10, no Rodriguez. I don't think Mkhitaryan is a winger tbh I think he's probably better as a 10 but I think it's about the best option for now (and it works on the right as Valencia is good at getting forward so Mkhitaryan can drift inside). On the left Perisic is more of an atacking threat and Darmian is stronger defensively I think I have balance on both sides.

Lindelof - a better partner for Bailly than Jones/Rojo or Smalling.
Fabinho - no room for Fellaini, Carrick getting past his best...add a midfield engine with a bit of steel that we need.
Morata - a proper number 9. A goalscoring threat - only Messi had a better goals/min ratio last season - will that translate to being a starter in PL?
Perisic - an actual winger! Because currently we have none. Fast, dynamic, direct.

4 signings I'd be delighted with. Any comments on this as a starting 11?

I think thats a good team. We address our biggest weaknesses (although there are still a few question marks) and you cant buy a whole new team every window. That line up wouldn't make us favorites but i would be surprised if we dont challenge for the league with that lot

I'd be disappointed with that side

not sure Perisic or Morata have what it takes to address our goal scoring issues

Darmian at left back too ain't good
Yeah, that's a team that looks capable of fighting for fourth until the last day of the season but not much more.

The players we are being linked with this summer are all a bit underwhelming. At least those I'm aware of.

I'm banking on a few surprises too

With Zlatan and Rooney (Not good enough but did score a few goals) leaving that team fails to five us the 20-30 extra goals we need to compete. For people who do not know we where 20 something goals off Arsenal this season and even more off Spurs City and Chelsea. We need James aswell imo of someone like him who is known for scoring. Perisic has never scored more than 10 goals in the league in his career so he alone is not the answer.

Pogba can step up with more goals, with Fabinho behind him he can be more of an attacking threat. Perisic will at least create more than anyone else did on the left last season, should score a few too as Darmian being defensive will allow him to attack more freely. And it's not just Perisic on his own I'm adding to the attack - it's also Morata who I believe can be a real quality number 9 for us.

Plus Mikhi scored 27 goals in his last season at Dortmund so, it would be reasonable to expect him to bang in at least 15.

Erm, aren't people just putting players that we're being linked with now? Bit pointless. I did mine back when I'd never heard of Lindelof!

Yeah not unreasonable, with a full season he can hopefully contribute more.

Well, yeah but we're being linked with more than 4 players, so pick your favourite 4!
But you're right, it was probably a better thread early on.

This was mine 3 months ago to the day:

Fabinho
John Terry (free)
Griezeman
Lukaku

I don't think I'll be winning the Kenwood Juicer :(

Linddelhof and Morata seem locked in and that is good news imho.

Then for a wide man maybe Perisic although I would favor Willian. For the center of the pitch Fabinho with Matic an outside shot and either seems like a great addition. To be honest other than Perisic I am in muppet mode. Love these picks and that just leaves LB as an area of concern for me.

Lindelof in early is good business, I think peresic is a matter of time and probably morata unless madrid dig their heels in. Then one of matic/dier (unfortunately).

My muppet signings would be Fabinho, Willian and Ronaldo

Lindelof, Verrati, Ronaldo, Dembele....a man can dream, hey lose change, prob only £400m in transfer fees :)

Would love to get ousemane dembele, morata and wilfred ndidi. with carrick stayng one more year it would give ndidi time to settle.

1: Moderately sure about Lindelõf
2: Absolutely no clue whatsoever
3: Absolutely no clue whatsoever
4: Absolutely no clue whatsoever

Journalists are just making stuff up for a living, and for all we know the entire Morata saga could be a figment of someone's imagination that caught on, and every day someone makes up a new detail.

Lindelof

Dier
Perisic
Morata

Seems like our top-priorities. None of them are very high-profile-signings but, in my mind, typical Mourinho players and will probably blend in well with rest of the squad.

Regarding Dier, if Mourinho really want him so bad it is for a reason. I dont get the hate people show him like they expect him to be something he clearly isnt, something other than a defensive player to protect the back four.

This is how Sky feel we will lineup like next season.

Four players:

Lindelof
James
Perisic
Morata

Lindelof - done.
Fabinho
Morata
Perisic
Sneijder (Brucey bonus)

Also, not sure why Sky have got an old goalkeeper as ACM? They've lost the plot.

The team next season is not going to be spectacular but I'm sure it'll be functional and if Jose organized the team right and players did their job, the team can be turned to a similar one to Chelsea, a non spectacular winning machine.

Fabinho
John Terry (free)
Griezeman
Lukaku
Looks like I got one right.
Griezeman would have been but for the ban
Terry was tongue in cheek (didn't have a clue about the CB and would never have guessed Lindelof)
Fabinho could still happen.

Anyone else get Lukaku?

Rashford out for Mhiki surely?

Mhiki doesn't play well in the EPL and I think Jose really likes Rashford's attitude and work ethic.
Mhiki does a lot of dribbles (which seems to impress MUFC fans) but in the EPL he has very little end product.

In any case, it's too early to tell because we don't even know who will be playing for us next season.

Well, it seems that our 4 players will be Lindelof, Lukaku, Matic and I guess Perisic.

A month ago, I thought we were going to sign Griezmann, Fabinho, Keane and B. Silva. Besides Griezmann, I'm happy with the players we have signed.

Scrolling through the first few pages, fair fecks to the people who predicted Matic or Perisic back in March.

These lists looked a hell of a lot more impressive when Griezmann was on them
