Casemiro 22/23 and Roy Keane
You were right. Scholes didn’t debut until 94/95 and Robson left at the end of 93/94.You are right they were together in Scholes debut season. My bad, it was 30 years ago (wow).
Yeah, I thought that I was probably wrong. Technically they were at the club at the same time but never played together so I was indeed wrong. I thought that Scholes didn’t debut until 1994-95 anyway. You were right. Scholes didn’t debut until 94/95 and Robson left at the end of 93/94.
Salah and Suarez
Robertson and Barnes
VVD and Hyppia would have been cigar central
I know it's just two players, but if we're hypothetically talking about these two as a duo, let's just say it's Pogba being thrown into the late 90s/early 2000s midfield in which case he'd probably be fine as Beckham worked as hard as Matuidi did, and Giggs was no slouch either.I’d also be interested in a hypothetical duo of Keane and Pogba… most likely it would’ve ended up in a complete disaster (like 90% chance) but on the off chance of Keane actually being able to discipline him… and Pogba worked very well with Kanté for France, even though they’ve had Matuidi on the left helping them out.
And McGrath - Martinez as a centre-back pairing; Paul was probably our most athletically gifted CB ever and he’d be a great upgrade on the post-peak Varane (they’re even both injury-prone!).
First thought that came to mind. What a pairing that would have beenCasemiro 22/23 and Roy Keane
Salah and Suarez? Really? I'd say Suarez would have to concede scoring as much as he did. Salah isn't much of a team mate when it comes to shooting opportunities.Salah and Suarez

What? McGrath was 185 cm tall (I'm not doing these pesky inches). Not quite Mertesacker but certainly tall enough? It's strange, because they'd have to stand on each others shoulders in a trenchcoat to be allowed on a rollercoaster, but I'd still back the pair of them to dominate any side in the air.
