Using the same playbook they have with Israel/Palestine. Forget the decades of apartheid, torture, rape, false imprisonment, land grabbing, murder etc and just focus on the narrative they push making the white South Africans to be the victims. Yet again the true victims who have been opressed for decades are made out to be the evil doers.
As with Palestine and the Palestinians their years of suffering and persecution is ignored, forgotten or denied while the actual perpetrators claim innocence and use it to garner public support. It's sick how this playbook is becoming the norm and people still continue to fall for it. Meanwhile millions suffer as they have done for decades whilst the world looked on and did pretty much absolutely feck all.

I know a couple of retired millionaires who spend six months in the UK and six months in their luxury house in Cape Town. Of course they have black servants and gardeners too. It was disgusting listening to them wax lyrical about how amazing Cape Town and the surrounding areas (obviously not the shanty towns) were whilst making out they were doing the country a favour by spending their money there in white owned upper class bars and restaurants.
The icing on the cake was mentioning visiting old friends who owned two beautiful farms in Zimbabwe of course those farms were kept running by black workers. Each time I see them it always reminds me of the Spitting Image song 'Never met a nice South African'
They really put me off visiting to be honest which is a shame as I'd have loved to get a chance to swim with Great Whites (in a cage) and watch them breach the water at False Bay, although I've read they have all but disappeared from the area. I guess that's the only whites that have moved away though.

I do not think the public opinion matters much outside of Twitter. Maybe a bit for Tesla, while not at all for SpaceX.
In either case, Musk is so rich that it does not matter. Even if he loses 90% of his wealth, he can still put billions in supporting Nazi parties all over the West. Which has been his priority for a while now.
Just heard a podcast about him today IIRC something about 75% of his wealth stems from holding Tesla shares - even if that number is false the major factor of his über-wealth comes from there so feck that company I say.

Yeah, I think you're right in that the most likely downfall of Musk is going to come from Musk himself, likely through substance abuse. I do think there's a good chance he'll still be on the scene for the next election though, even if Trump/MAGA isn't his horse anymore. And if that happens I really hope the public is largely against him by then.
It's so strange how you can literally feel the conflict between many MAGA nuts and Musk blowers. It's like United and Liverpool fans coming together to fight Arsenal fans. They disagree so much but none of them have the balls to come out and say anything because once the split starts, it won't be able to be stopped.
