I feel for him too but with each passing week he looks more and more out of his depth.
 
Out of the FA cup, Swansea's first win at OT ever, down to 10 men.. the list goes on. He looked a battered man at the end of that game. I really hope that he can still turn it around, but it's all unfortunately pointing towards an early sacking.

I agree with you actually. We're so shite its fun watching how we can physically be worse than last week, yet we manage it without fail.
 
Moyes won't be sacked! Sir Alex will not allow this to happen so soon.
 
I think the game ended was just unlucky, it's a fair point that maybe if he hadn't frozen out Fabio so much he would have been sharper, he came out like he had something to prove and was pretty feisty early on. But it was a poor decision from Fabio. After that think Moyes didn't know whether to stick or twist. You'd think Carrick would have been straight on with the emphasis on not loosing rather than winning given everything thats happened at OT and it being a cup tie. I know he was calling for him though in fairness, don't know what happened to him.

I think though that we really dropped off in the second and I think Moyes was slow to react to something which I thought was causing problems in the first half and led to their first goal which was Bony dropping off the defenders and then effectively giving them 4 on 2 in the middle. Something needed to be done about it as the CB's kept letting him go, one of them should have been all over him or we should have dropped in a third midfielder, ideally both. I thought we needed a bit more centrally in the second and thought we should have stuck Kagawa there and pushed Welbeck up top and subbed Hernandez. But whether that's right or wrong we'll never know but I don't think Moyes did anything to address that issue much like against Spurs where their threat on the counter was evident early on.

All in all though it's hard what to think. He's certainly having a terrible time with luck, everything that could go wrong seems to, that said sometimes I really think there are clear issues that could be solved, or attempted to be solved that he seems slow to react to and they're costing us points and as we saw in the second half, whether it was tactical out maneuvering or just inspiring the players he just didn't get it right as before the Fabio red we were noticably playing below the first half.

Thanks to BT Sport practically sticking a camera on him for the last 10 minutes you could hear everything he was shouting, and this was about it. We had no ideas when it was 11 men and he has no plan B when we need it.

It's not a few defeats though is it? We are dominant champions. And were been beaten left right and cente by everyone and playing stick on a shit football while doing so. And we were a laughing stock in the transfer market. This is basically the worst the new manager could have done.
 
We are losing to dog shit teams at home on a regular basis. Teams are not even playing well to beat us. It's a tragedy.

I did as well when it it became very unlikely that we were going to win the title, but its gotten to the point where we need to prioritise the league to try and get in the top four.

How can you enjoy it? The football has been pure shit.

I'd enjoy the season if we were 7th but playing like Southampton are. That, I can enjoy.

You make a weirdly good point. The defeats don't hurt as much because we are basically preparing ourselves for them in every match now.

You can also blame him for the fact we didn't look like scoring once we'd equalised, we weren't going to score even if Fabio stayed in the pitch, we were so poor in that second half. Our left back was our most creative player, just like Moyes' Everton, who have since abandoned those tactics and flourished. Our home form is indicative of having a manger who has no idea how to tactically break down sides who come to sit back and play on the break, it is not a coincidence that we're much better away from home.
 
When you look at the players we had out, Ferdinand getting injured and then Fabio getting sent off, it's conspired against Moysie ridiculously.
We were never losing that before the red card, even the most downer fan can't disagree with that.

Never winning it either, but that's another story!

Its not just this game. He took the reigning champions at hand, sacked a winning staff team and brought a 28m investiment who is worth jack shit. Under him United has turned into a laughing stock and the team seem struggling to bring in the players we need.

I am not blaming Moyes about everything happening but honestly I dont envy his situation.This job is too big for him.
 
He's not the man for the job I said this before he was appointed and he's actually been worse than I thought. Nobody could have predicted this, transition is one thing, this is a whole different level of shit.
 
Just my opinion but I think the reason why it's likely that there won't be any signings this month is because the Glazers aren't going to give money to a guy who won't be here in a few months.

Who should he have picked today ? Somebody on for Valencia and that's about it. His decision to play Smalling at RB saved our arse by getting him into CB later on ( not that it helped anyway because he's at fault for the goal btw ), Büttner was today one of the best if not the best player on the pitch so you can't give him shit for that either. We're struck by another injury. Only thing that he should do now, is shut up about 'no transfers' and just fecking do some, even if it could be a 'panic buy' for all I care. We're wounded in too many positions.

What's wrong with it? For years we've treated it like it is, the Mickey Mouse cup where we give the youngsters and fringe players a chance, like every other top team does. Obviously you'd like to win it but it's last on the list. Fa cup has always been classed as a major trophy, just because we haven't won it in a while you can't say it isn't. Moyes is basically taking the easiest route to win a trophy and throwing away the fa cup, after the league is gone and does anyone seriously think we have any hope to win the champions league with moyes?
He's out of his depth, plain and simple. At united you need a boss willing to take on challenges and someone who wants to play good attacking football. Moyes has never been that.

People were saying before the season started that we were going to change moyes, but it looks like he's trying his hardest to change us while he stays with his Everton mindset. The lack of desire from our players to actually win games this season has been shocking and that is down to moyes not being able to motivate them or get them playing in such a way that they enjoy playing.

Someone with a proven track record, at the top of the game, who knows how to win things. Basically, what we should have done when Fergie retired.
 
I was all for Moyes getting a good chance, but the more this season goes on the more I am worried. Under Sir Alex even if we were losing it would be positive, always looking to attack and this mentality translated to the players ont he pitch, always looking forward with the pass, always positive, always believing. Now everything is so negative, take today as an example, it's 1-1 we are a man down and Moyes starts calling for Carrick to come on, when the whole game what we have been crying out for has been some positivity and creativity. Granted, the man supposed to be doing that is already on the pitch, but whilst he has all the skill he just isn't good enough and hardly looks arsed whenever he plays. The game was crying out for Giggs to replace him for 60 mins! And its this sort of negativity and belief from the manager down that has translated down to players always looking backwards on the pitch rather than forward, this in turn has sapped all the forwards confidence and willingness to gamble, Hernandez being case in point, and this in turn has translated onto us, the fans which creates extra pressure on the manager and players. And without some radical changes in personnel or philosophy this cycle will keep going.

Just for once i would like Moyes to have some fire and positive belief and using this fire a rocket up the all players arses.

I love us getting a manager of that mould. Someone with some fresh forward thinking ideas. Mourinho apparently recommended him to madrid. Must have the personality as well.
