Mourinho to get rid of six players

Given that Chelsea need a proper striker they'd be crackers if Higuain isn't at the top of their list.

With Torres unhappy I'm surprised they haven't considered a swap deal with Falcao, probably too far fetched but I think he would be an excellent fit for them.

From memory don't Atletico owe quite a bit to Porto on that transfer? The only way I could see that happening is for big money.

Higuain's dad/agent has met with the Madrid bosses and the belief is that he's going nowhere and is happy about it. It's believed that Mourinho has convinced Adan to stay. Mourinho wants Lass to stay as well, but may not succeed - Lass has a year left on his contract.

Aguero has told the press that he's happy at City, that he still has 4 years on his contract and that he isn't looking for a Barca/Madrid move - "for now." Which tends to confirm the Higuain is staying story.

Atleti don't even own all of his rights; they sought help from an investment fund to complete the transfer. Hard to see any swap deals with Falcao coming to fruition if I'm honest.

Should be in a different thread but Falcao's ownership may be a bit complicated - Mendes may have financed his move to Porto and/or Atletico. Certainly Atletico owe somebody including Porto some money (and they owe the tax man a lot)

At any rate, it's a safe bet that he's for sale. A Torres + 15m swap to Chelsea has been mentioned, but who knows. It's more plausible than most swap rumours, given that both players might like the move - I don't see how Atletico would pay Torres's wages though.

The story so far (Part 2)

Altintop - Has gone to Galatasaray
Gago - is expected to sign for Valencia tomorrow
Kaka - is for sale, but not "that" cheap and Kaka's wages are not easy to move
Lass - Says he'll sit out his contract, free next summer
Carvalho - is debating whether to sit out his contract or move

Sahin has his own thread

Higuain is negotiating a new contract with Madrid

A couple of their reserves have been sold too

Valencia have also apparently now bought Canales, despite him being out injured, though RM have a buyback clause

"Sky sources" say QPR are in talks to sign Granero.

I'm not surprised he's looking for a move, he is good enough to be a starter somewhere. I'm just a bit surprised to hear QPR. Spurs or a "club in Germany" were the last rumours I read.

Carvalho's still supposed to be waiting for the right offer. Whatever that might mean.

Kaka appears to be too expensive to go anywhere.

Lass, as usual, is being linked to all sorts of people including Inter as part of a deal for Maicon. However he still seems to have his heart set on a free transfer next summer.

I really wish him all the best, I'm sure he'll be a great asset for them.

I agree. He was a good squad player at Madrid, but at this point in his career he needs the chance to see what else he can be.

I'm surprised Granero isn't on his way to Swansea to reunite with Laudrup.

Real Madrid are like the Bermuda Triangle of football, they sign every player they can and then they disappear off the face of the earth. I bet they lose track of which players they do have.

The Real Triangle
It makes players disappear
The Real Triangle
Don't go too near.........

none of those players would be on our radar, anyway
