In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik (@Rood) and Imran (@Annihilate Now!) are here to discuss three 1-1 draws.
The first got us knocked out of the FA Cup, the next puts us in a good position in our Round of 16 Europa League game, and the latest was an actual decent performance against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

One of my biggest musical regrets is never seeing Leftfield live, still kick myself now, that and Portishead too but luckily I'm putting that right in April.

For me I have never ever got Pink Floyd - meandering bollocks imo
The 70's have a lot to answer for in respect of the '4-7 minute solo and feck the tune'
Interesting about Oasis and their 3rd album. Its universally held that the first two albums are excellent and the third rubbish but the actual musical content on that album is very good but for some inasane reason nearly every song goes in to the 5th and 6th minute by which time you've had it. They started to develope this ponderous tempo and still stuck to the same songwriting format whoch made them all so long
Echo and the Bollocks - how overrated is that shite and more recently Razorlight - fsakes
Have to agree that Snow Patrol are earning top dollar from their two and three chord repeats
Must say that although imo The Beatles are the greatest band ever the last couple of albums are very poor. They'd had it by then
Cream - just a glorified jamming sesion but you hear all kinds of claptrap about their legendary 'status
Cant agree about U2 - they are original and no other band sound like them and are fking brilliant live
Chillis - fsakes tbh if you can name me more than five really top songs from a dozen fking albums I'll be surprised although to be fair they are consistantly better in recent years than the funk rock jamming from the previous 8/9 albums - overated for me

How anyone can summise the Beatles to be overated is surprising given their originality, effect on a a whole decade and beyond, their tonal and studio technical innovation, diversity of the writing, musicianship and the ability for their music to speak to all ages, to satisfy different levels of musical understanding, to attain a consistantly high level of writing -
an incredible band ( that includes Martin as a component part of the band too)

Well Edges whole guitar sound is unique - free from widdling solos and almost orchestral in places just as May's is in Queen. Great variety in the tunes as well
I'm not what I'd call a great fan myself but for originality, a good mix of the gentle and the hard tunes, tremendously simple drumming/rythm section free of unecessary fills and bullshit and a fantastic vocalist - songs ranging from huge anthemic productions to exposed acoustic numbers and can cut it live - they 're fecking good imo

Great guitarist - the song is everything to him and he does enough to enhance everything about it he can. He does use the effects box but that's what an fx box is for Jonny Greenwood uses it even more if you listen
