I have seen “McGuire’ one too many times here to describe a shite English defender who some may think is actually Irish.

I don't get the obsession with misspelled names. I don't get why we are expected to be always write when we are dealing with Polish, Greek, Senegalese or Armenian names. And in some cases we are misspelling the anglicized versions. Take Tsimikas for example which as a sound is Chemekas. So, if someone hears Chemekas, it's easy to write it down as that.

Been spelling it like that till late last year. Someone was rude enough to correct me. A search for Mcguire in my post history is embarrassing

Despite his nearly 25 years of association with the club, I always struggle to spell Ole’s surname.
As for other players, Stefan Kuntz gets misspelt a lot on here, although I don’t know why a 90s German footballer is referred to so often in the CE thread on Boris Johnson’s government.

I can't spell Morgan Schneiderlin. Every time I have to write his name, I copy it from Google. Well, he was a forgettable player anyway so no much of a problem.

Most mis-pronounced name on French TV - Maguire - pronounced Mag-Ear - although they're getting better now. Bonus for next season - for the first time for a long time we don't have either Nor-wich or West Brom-wich
Not a player but the amount of people who thing Rodgers name is Rogers pisses me off more than it should.
