This is totally out of hand.......all these threads out of this one game and all saying the same thing. I'm dizzy.
Oh, and not getting an away goal is very scary.

Hehe

My view on merging threads is that it confuses people and doesn't help anything.

the other side of the coin is though that everyone in here is having the same conversations as those at the game leaving the stadium and those down the pub discussing the game

Fantastic

You'd have been better off just deleting them all, or at least reading the cocking things before shoving them all in together

It is all the same whinging and whining so keeping it together makes sense especially since you could sum the whole thread up in a single post.

Deleteing it all would have made more sense but new threads would have sprung up left right and centre.

Type of answer I've come to expect.

If people expect it then why are they too stupid or lazy to look before posting a thread with the first unoriginal illogical thought that jumps into their head?

Merge indeed. But with sensitivity they should have been merged into 4 to 6 threads and not one gigantic one that destroyed all the good work done by various posters and those who contributed towards them.

Tonight was an important night and emotions were bound to run high. A lot of good work destroyed by insensitive moderating.

What the single merged thread did was make life simple for a mod(s).

I didn't bother reading the caf tonight as I thought it might get a bit daft but that's some serious stuff going on in there.

Crazy stuff. I can see the forum imploding soon. Hope you mods are ready for saturday

Plenty people won't be around for some time.

Good if that is their reaction to a goaless draw away from home with the home leg to come.

We have had some cocktardery on this place over the years but tonight's reaction to a brillant result away result AND performance was one of the most bizarre ever.

And that is saying something.

Don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out.

If you could take at least 50% of current posters with you it would be greatly appreciated.

Emotions running high after a brilliant result? How old is everyone FFS?

Deletion would have been a better option but the same idiots would have posted the same idiocy again.

Your's is one opinion. Just because your a mod it still doesn't make it any more valid than the variety expressed in those threads.

FFS, it's a Champions League semi and a busy United Forum is not only natural but healthy ie it reflects positively on the reputation of Redcafe - if that matters at all to any of the mods except Niall.

Albeit one opinion that counts a bit more.

A busy United forum is nice except when it is full of idiotic hormonal gimps. I'm beginning to think that the Weaste solution is the way forward. The United forum is now so bad I don't even like to venture in there any more.

You're horribly wrong mate. Just because you disagree with them, it doesn't mean they're wrong and you're right. They're justifyably pissed off at that performance tonight and they're expressing it here because that's what this fecking forum is for. Or at least we thought so.

It doesn't help the reputation of this place that a big chunk of the mods/admins are utter cnuts.

And if you're so fecking bothered by at least 50% of current posters, than why don't you go right ahead and ban them?

Edit: If you seriously believe that was a brilliant performance than something's really wrong with you. That was by far the most gutless performance I've ever seen from United.

Look at it another way, had those threads not been merged, then we would have seen pages and pages of threads about the exact same thing. The fact that there had to be so much merging is down to people not checking whether threads have been created on that topic prior to posting. If people just posted in the threads already created, we wouldn't have to go through this mess.

It's not to make our lives easier, if that was the case we wouldn't do feck all. It's so that the forum is made readable and we don't have countless threads based on the same thing clogging up the forum.

DiaboliQue and 032Devil, get over yourselves or at least get a fecking room. If you don't like the way this place is moderated and feel that we are oppressing your "oh so wonderful" insights into the game or damaging all the "good work" the assorted teenaged gimps, retards and pillocks were spouting in those threads then find a forum that better suits your needs. You're obviously not part of the solution here which makes you a part of the problem.

You used to be able to debate football on here but there's now so many pillocks that there's little or no point and the bulk of the decent football posters have left. You're lucky Wibbs just chose to merge the threads, I'd have deleted them and removed the right to post in the United forum from a fair few in those threads as well. FFS, when you've got a West Ham fan talking the most sense in the United forum and a chorus of "supposed" United fans slagging him off for pointing out the stupidity in those threads then things have gone seriously wrong on here.

tbf, cockneyhammer does talk sense most of the time. As for the amount of pillocks, no offence, but it's your own faults. You used to have to earn your way into the main forums but nowadays we get newbies promoted left, right, and centre and more than half of them don't know anything about football.
Now don't get me wrong, you get decents ones like I_live_cement who is a good poster but then again you get people like immature or manutd4ever10 and his bum buddy adn that tyeza fella. Newbies should earn their way in and mods shouldn't just give them reputation points easily. Now I'm not saying they do give them repupations points easily cause I have no proof cause I don't have access to the newbies but based on amount of newbies being promoted with a lack of football knowledge it is easy to assume that they are promoted very easily.

Agreed.
