MLB 2022

Got a few questions:

1. Is there any channels that stay on the field during innings breaks or do they all cut to commercials or give that "we in a commercial" thing?

2. Also struggling to find good games to watch, so if anyone know of a good game for whatever the reason, revenge/rival etc would be welcome.

Been watching Oakland, Braves, Angels, Giants, Dodgers mostly, sometimes Padres Yankees and Red Socks, but really don't have any alliance to a specific team yet.
Also, it's usually the earlier games, since it's like 12am or 2am/3am if it's the later ones for me.

Give the Rays a watch. I’m a homer, but they do contrarian things & they typically have a budget a quarter the size of the behemoths like the Yankees, Dodgers, etc. Plus, they are quite good & should make the playoffs again this year.

If you root for the little guy, you should like the Rays.

Not a popular opinion but I think the Astros are always a fun team to watch. Mets have also been good value this season and their games are usually earlier (East Coast).

Phillies - Dodgers series at the weekend should be good. Both are heavy hitting teams.

No idea about commercials.

No stations stay live afaik. I watch through a river & see commercials or the ‘in a commercial’ screen. All you are missing is the defense languidly throwing balls around the diamond or outfield & the pitcher keeping warm.

Remember, this is America. Advertising rules the roost.

The closest thing to what you want that I've seen is Youtube. When they do a live game, they stay on the field more in between innings and sometimes have player interviews, etc. It is a different experience to the normal networks for sure. Problem is their game selection is limited.

Thanks for the feedback @calodo2003 @Vidyoyo @greatscott9930

I will check out the Rays when they have an early game. Usually Oakland was that underdog team for me, but want to check out other teams.

Phillies v Dodgers, great, weekend also gives early games so will definitely watch it.

I've heard so much about Ohtani but every time I watch him it's a normal game  only get to see the special stuff via highlights or a post on here.

Old Man Max has struggled to go more than 6 innings for a while now.

That Gray/Ruiz trade is looking better everyday
As a Mets fan this isn't good but what was good was the 10th inning walk off homer from Pete "Stud" Alonso!

Watched it live last night, what a moment! Incredible scenes, my missus was not pleased with my huge celebration

The Rays are something else. We have all our opening day starters on IR & we are still playing above .600 baseball.

Waits it out, then delivers an M-777 shell…

As an ex-pitcher I love this so very much.

I am a bit jealous he throws 20mph faster than I ever could, but I still love the implied “take your time ass hole, I still own you”

Yep. He just held his starting position like an egret ready to snag a fish. Then he struck. Kid had no chance.

It was in reference to an article wasn’t it? Crap joke that’s backfired.

Donaldson provided context, make of it what you will. According to Donaldson, Anderson had no problem with being called "Jackie" when they played for the Braves. Perhaps it was said to get in his head, perhaps there was an undertone, and there was certainly an incident before this game and probable Donaldson roused him up. Do remember it was Anderson who labelled himself the current era Jackie Robinson for whatever reason. Be interesting to see if Anderson says that never happened in Atlanta.

The one guy's foot is almost fully outsde the box but it's been so long since I played organized baseball that I cannot recall if it is still considered in the box if part of the foot is on the chalk line.

My darling Mets utterly smashed the Giants last night, these things make me happy.

Pete Alonso is something else.

Ugh. The Giants are on a miserable run of form. The pitching has been awful lately, with even Rondon getting battered by the Cards.

Kevin Kiermaier can’t stop hitting HRs of all styles. Terrible feeling as a center fielder to know the ball got past you…
