Mitchell van der Gaag…

We get two baldies for the price of one…you could almost say that we are going dutch (I’ll get my coat)

And people just learned Ten Hag is spelled with one "a". :(

Hope we get this wrapped up.

You’d like to think it would a be a formality really and EtH would have discussed this prior. Maybe it is.

I hope we can convince this guy to join also. People underestimate how important having a good assistant manager is. We all seen how the wheels started to come off during Jose’s time here when Rui Faria left, and who knows how things would’ve played out had Ralf been able to bring his first choice no. 2 with him as well.

This guy generally seems reliable

But I would be very surprised if he turned down the Ajax Manager job to be United Assistant manager.

In that case I could only assume United are paying him quite a bit more, and he'll have a big say in things at United

I thought they would take this approach, big decision if he turns it down. Hope he’s ready to join ETH without his preferred assistance is like having Ralf at the moment.

Surely EtH and Mitchell have agreed this together? Just depends how much of a spanner in the works the management job at Ajax is

Is he the guy who's credited with organising the superb defensive side of things at Ajax?

He's a bit mental if he really did turn down the Ajax job to carry on as an assistant coach but I'm very glad he did. I did hear a rumour though that he has a heart condition and that's maybe why he prefers being an assistant?

All of the best Dutch names include Van. Its a positive start

Quotes from 2013 when he was managing in Portgual:
"I have a heart problem, some time ago, before arriving at Belenenses. I have a pacemaker and defibrillator. On Saturday during the game I felt bad and received two shocks and the unit saved my life."
