2-2
Pretty typical of the Scousers at this level, for what they lack in talent they make up for in violence.Holy shit, full swinging punch in the face from their number 5 in the build up to our equaliser
Nolan coming down from the U21 and gets absolutely skinned time and time. Sub him off.
Who wouldn't against that rocket ?
YesGood on Wheatley giving that 5 some back after we scored then
fecking hell. HOW IS HE NOT SENT OFF?!
Are you sure? That doesn't sound like RAWKWas reading RAWK and they were complaining about the refs giving everything our way..
Played 14 won 14 for the u18s then. Impressive.
Yeah, that's one of the things I'm especially enjoying about watching them. Our first team too often slow things down, even though they're far better whenever they do go quicker. It's so good to watch the directness and fast tempo of this group.Kids are absolutely great. Midfield so dominant, looks like they will chop their legs on every ball. At the same time they play so fast, good passes with first touch from all players, killing teams with that.
Rewatched the highlights back and there’s absolutely no chance Wheatley was offside for his 2nd disallowed goal and the first one is very tight.
You are correct! I’d make a shit LinoI think they correctly ruled it out because Jackson was offside and involved in the situation.
The right-side was my concern - Nolan had a very poor game but it was a tough player to be up against - and I also thought Missin was a shadow of the player he was at the start of the season.
Wheatley scored a cracker and then had some really poor finishes in much easier positions - but his overall game was very good.
Our 2 best players in my opinion was McAllister and Williams who both were average before the break but completely destroyed Liverpool after the break. McAllisters passing was sublime - and Williams was simply too much to handle for Liverpool.
No worries. I guess we'll just continue to beat everyone and develop players for our first team then.A good come back but again like the City game this was a second string u18 side in conparison to the Yoith cup side which beat Arsenal convincingly last week with 8 changes. We obviously have a strong squad but other sides only play their strongest side in the Youth cup.

They aren't beating everyone. Also, we have a much more talented pool in our academy than them.Liverpool also doing well on that front at the minute tbf though their first team would be a tough side to get into given the two clubs respective levels at present.
Liverpool are the masters of getting credit for the bare minimum, they’d brought through 2 players in 9 years before this season, they’re appalling at youth development.Liverpool also doing well on that front at the minute tbf though their first team would be a tough side to get into given the two clubs respective levels at present.
