The first moonwalk

Rock with you, live (since the music video is not available in my country)

Fecking great song.

Absolutely gutted, fantastic musician. Truly a genius. i can't believe he is dead, really sad news. CW has already posted my favourite song so I will go with my second favourite

Seriously can't believe he is gone, not just one of the best musicians, but one of the greatest artists of the last century.

And My Confessions

Through My Joy And My Sorrow
In The Promise Of Another Tomorrow
I'll Never Let You Part
For You're Always In My Heart

This was in 2001, and I am glad that I watched it, people were like he can't moonwalk anymore and he put on an incredible show, closing with "Billie Jean"

He actually did "You Rocked My World" after "Billie Jean" but what the hell

Michael Jackson becomes the first black man to walk on the moon ;)

That's my favorite MJ song of all time :(.

I couldn't believe it when I found out last night. I was getting ready this morning and I felt compelled to put some of his music on whilst getting ready in my room. I saw him in concert at Wembley stadium in 1988 (I was only 5). Me and my brother were dressed up in our Jackson gear, and we loved it. Thriller is the best music video ever made IMO. Obviously he has other fantastic songs, one of my other favourites is Earth Song and I love a lot of his stuff with the Jackson Five.

I spent last night listening to his music. He was an icon.

Was in love with these videos when they first came out.

I only discovered Jackson when Dangerous came out. Loved just about every song on that album then went back and bought Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad.

Growing up MJ was just about the only stuff I used to listen to. Heal the World was the first song I bothered to learn the lyrics to.

Only musician to have made my neck hair stand on end with trepidation whenever he performed (even if watching on TV). But I suppose I am in that age bracket.

I loved the song Off The Wall from the album of the same name.

Where did my posts go !?

"People will discuss the negative, as that's the nature of man. Yes, the idiosyncrasies did overshadow his contributions during the latter portion of his life. Yes, the allegations were a dark cloud that eventually led his withdrawal from the public scrutiny.

Posthumously, it's more important to focus on the positive. MJ was an artist who's music spanned generations & genres, cultural & ethical boundaries. He was the global star of our time, an icon. At the pinnacle of his fame, there weren't many anywhere who didn't know his name. 13 number one hits & many more songs that are left etched in our collective memories.

I like to think that my dad's generation had James Brown to transcend all conceivable barriers through music & dance. Our generation had Michael Joseph Jackson."

Definitely the best musician/artist/entertainer I've had the pleasure of listening and watching. Definitely one artist I'll be telling my kids about in the future. He was truly a genius.

Not really a fan but he was an absolute musical icon.
