Messi?

Copied from another blog. Messi speaking after match:

It's just ridiculous the way he just side steps players like they aren't even there. Don't even get me started on his passing.

Never expected him to leave Barca but did expect a contract renewal. Might or might not be in the pipeline. Who knows.

So nice to see a player actively come out and take charge of a media situation like that.

There's nothing to stop players from coming out and halting rumours that are designed to cause disharmony within the squad and I think more players should step up if they plan on staying at a club.

Note how he refers to Manuel Neuer by his surname but refers to Ronaldo by his first name. This suggests to me they are both on close speaking terms, as they know they will be playing in our frontline next season together.
 
Pretty glad to see we aren't going to have to face this guy twice a season for the next few years... Gotta admit I think he's in decline, all the matches I've seen him in over the last 12 months he's sort of faded into the background, but still, think he's tare our defence a new A hole in his sleep.

No way are Barca going to drop out of the CL spots even with all the meltdown happening there.

Obviously it is never going to happen, but would people around here actually want us to spend £195m on Messi? Most people are resistant to spending a 'mere' £42m on Falcao.
 
There's no point to even thinking about Messi as a United man, apart from the humor of it all.
 
Well looks like he really wants to leave though. Who would have thought. I was certain he would spent his entire career there. I just hope he won't end up at City or Chelsea. Maybe he would want to reunite with Pep at Bayern? But than again just because he wants to leave doesn't mean Barca would sell him for anything less than 250M €. I mean it's not like they are under any obligation to sell just because he wants out.

Haven't check how there relationship is now but from certain stories/rumours Messi seemed to be a bit of an arsehole when Pep was the Barca manager.

What makes you think he wants to leave? He's just after saying he has no intention of leaving, that the stories about Chelsea and City are nonsense and that he wants to retire at Barça...

Those stories are also nonsense. People believe anything they read these days.
 
Give him more of the Barcelona 2009-2012 drugs and sign him up.
 
Just saw an interview where he categorically denied he wants out and said that his dad hasn't been in talks with the likes of Chelsea and city at all

That was after the Atletico game. During an interview today he said anything can happen in the future.

Which he's further clarified by saying he wants to stay but said that because anything can happen in the future and because they asked him whether he'd ever play for Newells.

As he said himself today...no matter what he says people create headlines from it.
