Messi in Miami

Not sure that man has the mental capacity to be making those sorts of decisions at this present time....

Of course he has otherwise he wouldn't be the democratically elected president of the most powerful nation in history.

Americans aren't that dumb.

he means in the last year and a half, he’s has fully gone down hill and taking his legacy with him by being a slobbering speaker and doing boneheaded things. I voted for him, I’m shocked at how off the rails he is but what do you expect from an 80 year old lifer who was only voted in to keep the Cheeto man out.

As for Americans and dumb….we had the orange man and a woman who couldn’t really have her own plan and ran on the exact campaign of Hillary. Yes we are dumb!

I was being sarcastic. I'd still vote for anyone but Trump.

Another great goal, included the prior pass to Suarez

Anyone wondering whether he'll hit 900 career goals? On 852 at the moment? Father time ticking him for him. I imagine if he goes on for max 2 more seasons - I feel he'll just end up shy of it. 891 or something.

Not me. He completed everything when he won the World Cup. The rest is just silly stats…leave that to the other guy.

Can he win the Concacaf Champions league though

The team it's still quite lame, would be too hard me thinks, also Mascherano at command it's a serious jinx as they come

I always liked that his tendency for most part always was to continue playing

Wonder how many goal contributions he has now for his career. He has a chance to put it out of reach for anyone else.

It's the MLS, we all know, yet that he still can play with such style at this age, what a freak

I was surprised by the lack of comments on the goal. Yeah the MLS is sub-par but still ranked higher by Opta than most people assume (9th worldwide). Its a classy goal none the less.

I miss following his matches almost on a weekly basis in Europe (minus PSG league games I never cared about/had access to).

The guy was just head and shoulders above everyone else on the field - and consistently so, week in, week out.

He has been scoring some beauties lately, yet he has been injured quite a lot too

Technically he's still better than 99% but physically he looks pretty done...

9th worldwide?? Is that a joke?

I wouldn't even rank it higher than Bundesliga 2.

This remind me of sthg. , better said triggered me sthg I always thought silly and goes beyond Messi, or MLS and such and BTW it's not a jab on you @Nonameboy at all..

I would never get that beside what anyone can think of any league, particular rival/ moment, stage, competition, we can't apreciate an special action, specially from a special player...how many times we have seen a singular player doing sthg in a game, that the other 21 ones in the pitch didn't do.
And not few times some of the others 21 in the pitch are considered absolute Top Class or Elite, no matter rival or context. The extremes of this type of demerit are for isntance "it's just Getafe" on Messi's goal, etc.
I always thought that if Cris puts the ball in the angle, from 40 metres against a keeper from teh Saudi League, I won't ay it has the same value as many of his important goals, yet still it's a remarkable action. Therae are always nuances, but we don't have to apreciate evrything always with some sort of nitpicking, less when the other 21 felals in the pitch, weren't close to prudice anything close.

Why did the commentator call him 40 years old? He is 37. I know he is just trying to exaggerate and round up his age for dramatic effect to emphasize his longevity but professionals who are paid to provide accurate information, is lying is just lazy and misleading.

Notice the timing. He's talking about the player who had the ball before Messi intercepted.

He is not talking about Messi at the start of the clip, he is talking about Brad Guzan, the goalkeeper.

Nothing really happening at the start of the clip, so was waxing lyrical and Guzan making saves at 40. Then Messi strike from nothing.

That´s just more evidence that the MLS is RIGGED!

Most surprising thing about that is Brad Guzan is still playing.

Feels like it's about 20 years ago he was at Villa.

Maybe because the links you've posted are a bit sensationalist for a goal that's nice, but not exactly insane - the second tweet when the guy writes "Messi literally won the ball, cut the defender and chipped the keeper, he’s the greatest of all time" with the emojis after is quite funny though, I'll admit. Describing some pretty basic things is a bit dramatic, no?

Anyway, he's the GOAT, but it's got nothing to do with him still being effective in a terrible league against terrible players.

Sorry. Most tweets with goal videos come with ridiculous descriptions.
