I'm not talking in a football sense, I'm talking in his positioning in the US Market and the bizzness that this will carry for him way after his retirement.
Messi knew the team was shyte, that's why Miami has purchased many of his friends or other youngsters (if those are the right transfers, time will tell).

Chossing Miami it's perfect in terms of who is already there, Becks, and the oportunity to build sthg. from the ground in financial terms.
Doing this while at the same time he provides to his familiy a place with big latinamerican community (and even Argie one, not only the ones living there, but argie franchises, people on vacations, etc), summer all year long and without the extreme fans harrassment that he woudl face in other parts of the world.

He is just taking this like a Pro, just because he loves to play no matter what, no matter where, that's his essence. In the meantime he keeps fit for the NT and it at some point this turns into a very shitty affair in the field, he will retire/go a couple of months to Argentina or a looooong shot Barca retirement, while his Dad and co will dedicate themselves to the Messi INC and all the connectiosn he has build with this transfer and those to come.
 
The kid Mac Naughton it's kind of cocky, he stated that Messi made a meal out of nothing with his foul (that wasn't called).

I do not endorse abuse, or harrassment of any kind from the Messi ultra fan horde to any player, for anything he might or have done "against" Messi but at the same time you can't just say such a silly thing. I do not expect him to admitt he left his studs, but going the other way and accuse Messi of faking it? come on kid, don't be that cocky :D

70,000 plus are going to be watching Inter Miami and Messi vs Sporting Kansas!

Huge for MLS and the sport in America.

It happened twice in this game alone!

Ten minutes before this, a kid ran onto the pitch and got Messi to take a selfie with him.

It also happened in the previous game too. Another kid ran on and had a selfie with Messi.

:lol: Messi just casually allows them to have their selfie.

Haha, good one. Mahomes is clearly a much better player than Brady through their first six seasons, though I respect Brady's overall accomplishments, obviously.

Having watched nfl (more specifically superbowl), I found to be a very uninteresting sport. Stop, start, lots of wrestling, no real skill other than running and throwing a "ball". Safe to say no nfl player should be mentioned in the same sentence as a footballer.

I never really got it either. It seeme so primitive. Football at least has real artistry.

The pitch invader was already close to Messi when his bodyguard entered the pitch, and one of the stewards also entered the pitch at the same time as the bodyguard.

point is, his bodyguard shouldnt be allowed nowhere near the pitch....imagine all of them have one and they all storm the pitch. Its a circus and those clips of him running next to the line to follow messi, its beyond pathetic and never in history of any sport did we witness something like that, or at least i didnt.

This is such a classy way to finish his career. The contrast with a certain rival is stark. Just great football and adoration. Lots of young Americans becoming soccer fans while watching him live. It’s great to see.

Gridiron football is actually much more complex than association football, which is a pretty simple game. Association football does have more artistry though IMO, probably more than most sports.

Not really about simplicity for me. Rugby is alright. I find American football very uninteresting.

not funnier than Penaldo fanboys' desperate attempts to portray his PSG experience as a failure when he led Europe in most attacking categories, that's all they have left after their idol's WC and rejection records in Europe..

Correcting an incorrent statement doesnt mean that someone is offended. Messi wasnt prime Messi at PSG but he didnt 'fail' unless you would only consider him a succes if he won the CL and still played like prime Messi.
 
We still having the Ronaldo - Messi debate. Messi kinda ended the debate (if there ever was any in the first place in reality) by winning the World Cup in his time at PSG.

Let it rest for gods sake. Both are great players. One maybe the greatest of all time. It ends there basically.
