NL Max relationship with his dad is nonexistent,so he does not like to be called Depay. He forgot to remove Depay from his twitter account but he did it now.
I don't think it was a case that he forgot, was just trying to get hold of whoever had the original memphis account I guess, or contact with twitter. No idea how that sort of thing works.

No I get that but the joke about him actually being Depay seems to be long running, why did it start?

I really dont know about that.

Yea guess you are right, maybe he payed to someone,so in return that someone can give up his user name.

He knows every little detail about Memphis and he created his account on here at the same time he started being linked with Manchester United and this.
Remember how worried he was about possibility of signing Gareth Bale ? 'We don't need him' on almost every page when discussing the transfer.

He's damn good at what he's doing, i'll give him that.

:lol:I'm literally at a loss for words if the post above by kill 'em all is a genuine quote. Depay may actually be a poster on redcafe? We all know who to tag when he has a shit game next season then.

Oh come on, don't do that we want to keep him.

This thread is starting to look like a real-life version of WW. We should probably just let the seer check him.

You submit an impersonation claim and if it's valid Twitter gives you the account.

I've been a long time fan of Memphis, I've been watching him ever since he played for the broadcasted youth team of PSV which is about 4-5 years. I've seen him improve so much and with his background I really believe he can become a worldclass player. I wanted this transfer to happen so much, I just knew van Gaal would've seen the same potential in him. Because I read the Dutch media and not the English one I know quite a bit about him and was pretty up to date on what was happening regarding his transfer and stayed positive it was going to happen - PSV don't keep alot of secrets for the fans. I made a thread on his name - he prefers to be called Memphis so I wanted that to be known. I didn't expect people to take offense to it or that I was forcing them calling him that, I don't care if people call him Depay.

I wrote my opinion on Memphis as best as I could many times and got so many tags suggesting I was actually him, it gave me a good laugh. I just wanted to test if that video of a 7 year old Memphis I found on VI would convince even more people and..

Nice damage control attempt but it's little too late for that, Memphis. After you've replied to a guy on Facebook from the official account you've outed yourself as a person who's clearly using social media on a daily basis.

Oh and nice try changing your date of birth to a fake one. Almost got people convinced.

Sounds like something Memphis would say.

What are you guys talking about? Memphis' redcafe account is right here @Memphis , leave NL Max alone.

Get another top class winger on the other side feeding rooney, and we got players with world class movement that can make us unpredictable
I wouldn't call Memphis 'world class' just yet ;)

May have said that wrong about depay, but he will be an improvement over the current set of wingers, and give us something different to what we do not have, the ability to take on players and hopefully score us goals in the future.

I fully agree - a pacey player that isn't scared to take on defenders is exactly what we needed.

Not just pacey, but potential world class pace that can get past players and get involved in the attacking play where our strikers are, but that special world class ability that he could have that gives us more of a threat especially in a 433. As if it's 2 average wingers, we relying on out striker to score all the goals like 2009/10

A bit of Hello style tittle tattle on Memphis:

Memphis Depay is getting ready for his new life in Manchester as a Man United player next season but he's got some work to do according to words he's shared with AD in Holland. The Dutch attacker has explained that as things stand he's planning to move to Manchester on his own, without family to keep him company, but there's a problem - he hasn't got anywhere to live yet. Depay hasn't yet managed to find the time to go house hunting physically and estate agents in Manchester and Cheshire will be looking forward to helping him out. The house hunting for now will have to be restricted to the internet but he'll probably want to find somewhere before he's officially unveiled at Old Trafford as Manchester United first summer transfer.

AD quote the Dutch international as saying "I'm going alone to Manchester. In Eindhoven I live alone now. I have not found a home... First the two internationals with Oranje, then vacation and then move. My friends and family are who I'm going to miss the most. And everything at PSV. I find it truly beautiful that I'm leaving by the front door. Became champion, top scorer, talent of the year and it's now a top transfer for me and a top price for PSV. We have taken good care of each other, haha. A win-win for everyone."

Likeable Depay is clearly hugely looking forward to joining up with Manchester United and his enthusiasm and ambition is infectious. The young footballer has been at times accused of arrogance and a poor attitude but we don't see that, yes he can appear cocky at times but he's one of world football's brightest young stars - better he be a bit starry than boring and nondescript.

Before picking his new house, and we're expecting a flash city centre apartment with hot-tub on the terrace, Depay is going on holiday "I am really looking forward to it. I actually can't wait to start, but I have to be sensible... first take a good holiday. This is necessary, because last season was too long by the World Cup. I'm going to Miami."

Let us all hope that there's no Miami style fiasco or scandal this summer!

What did he say?

Memphis is aiming to score 15 goals next season.. that would be insane for his first season though. Even if he 'only' scored 10 goals i would be happy with his contribution.

If it's all competitions then it's not an unlikely target, if he stays fit. League Cup and FA Cup should get him some goals.

I like this guys arrogance and confidence. We need more players like this, as there's far too many players in the squad that almost frequently drop their head and go on barron runs because of it. Di Maria, Rooney and Mata all prime examples last season.

Well he said 'its difficult to compare but if i had to guess i think i could score 15 of the 23 goals i scored this season next season in England.'

I think he was talking about league goals and i think 10 league goals will be a great amount of goals for his first year. Also i dont think staying fit will be much of an issue for him (match inflicted injuries from idiotic tackles excluded). He's very fit and not injury prone at all. A trait not all our players share unfortunatly

Yeah, I think so too. 10 goals in the league and some in other competitions seems a good target for him.
