Is there a way to link videos from Facebook?

Fox contributor Michelle Malkin has done a half hour special on rape gangs roaming the streets of Germany.

I know words are important, but surely the issue is intent. Did he intend to insult? If you believe its the words over intent, and that intent does not come into it, bit like Suarez on Evra, what do we do with all these rappers and other singers that use very offensive words. They would argue there is no intent. Do we hold them to account? This is why that twitter message with the WOKE was so funny, because to a certain extent it show people looking for something to be outraged at rather than getting on with life. In this case, I am not supporting Bossie, but it does beg the question where is the bar in all this.

I'm gonna go with yeah. But that's just my opinion. If anything, the fact that the guy was black probably triggered the cotton-picking response to begin with. Racism is simmering just below the surface so an argument with a black guy brought it out.

fecking despicable cnut. I despise her and this is just outrageous. It's disgusting that propaganda and racist lies like this are allowed to be broadcast without any type of checks at all. So much for journalistic integrity eh?

feck that's just outright hate speech.

I doubt even the employees at Fox consider themselves as journalists. They are pretty much a White House/Trump propaganda machine at this point. What pisses me off more is the fact that there are idiots dumb enough to believe this shit.
Aren't there supposed to be controls on what can air on TV? Maybe they are breaking something. But even if something like that came into light, doubt it will make a difference.

That is entirely my point. During the campaign Trump repeatedly said if elected he would change the libel laws to something akin to what we have here in the UK. I repeatedly said he wouldn't because if he did that then the burden of proof would be constantly on him and he would be bankrupted if he ever took any press member to court that he accused of making up fake news about him. He loves things the way they are, he would never change a thing.

Out of curiosity, if it is the use of words denoting color, does that make it racist when say Michelle Obama refers to old white men, or Pelosi/Waters/and so on refer to whites.

I think we have to be careful about taring every one with the same brush because of the use of words in a particular point in time. Repeat offenders of course, but I think there will be very few politicians, civil rights or media pundits that haven't at some point made a stupid comment using color to promote a point and express discrimination.

You should watch this when you have 18 minutes to spare. It's very troubling. Media propaganda in the US goes much deeper than just Fox News.

It's just factually untrue: "mainstream media doesn't want to report on the rise of Islam in Europe"... It's one of the biggest talking points there if I'm not mistaken!

I'd be interested to hear what German/European posters think about this piece of propaganda.

Not sure if correct but have heard some say the Fairness Doctrine that Saint Reagan ripped to shreds is the cause of much of this unchecked propaganda.

I have already seen that clip before and you're right, it is troubling. But, they are mainly focused on local and rural areas. What we have now is a national news channel turning into a propaganda machine for the president.

Well a Republican president up to no good - why am I not surprised!

It's not Fox news, but I was reading about Breitbart for a bit and stumbled on the fact that they once used a picture of Lukas Podolski on a jetski* for a story about illegal immigrants being smuggled in to the country on jetski's.

Then in the comments, when called out, most of the Breitbart readers defend it saying, well it's just a stock photo of a person on a jetski! It's not fake news!!

I remember that, was brilliant:lol:

What's the trap? He seemed to explain his ideas with his usual engaging eloquence. Carlson looked like the idiot trying to be literal and clearly not receptive to actually learning anything.

That's all these programs are. Attempts to make the host look clever by using crap logic and bullying to get a soundbite.

I agree with a lot he said but there are many examples of what is nowadays known as democratic socalism, i.e. Scandinavia, which he should have mentioned.

The whole Venezuela argument which Fox latches on too every time they talk about socialism is bullshit.

Kyle Kulinski did a good segment on this.

Its the usual Republican schtick of framing it as socialism and using Venezuela as a model example. Also, having West on is clearly an attempt to scare Fox's aging demographics that socialism is championed by people who look like him and is inextricably tied to the identity politics people like him promote.

Tucker Carlson is the lowest of the low. Wish he did not exist.

Cornell West walks into an obvious trap on Fox

Though I disagree with West, he reminds me of a certain labour MP called Tony Benn in the UK. They are both very articulate and get their points across very well without Rhetoric or hate. They believe their view is right and do not feel the need to slander opposing views.

Fox News acts like a state run media & is either pulling the strings of the puppets in Washington or being a mouthpiece for the administration.
Usually you hear about Iran’s, Russia’s, NK’s state run media’s and it gives an impression of a totalitarian government ruling with a tight fist over the information it’s people see.
With Trumps base only getting it’s views from one source it’s not a whole lot different.

If you want to get rid of Trump just buy Fox News. His base support will collapse within months.

Six sources said Guilfoyle’s behavior included showing personal photographs of male genitalia to colleagues (and identifying whose genitals they were), regularly discussing sexual matters at work and engaging in emotionally abusive behavior toward hair and makeup artists and support staff.
