Mbappé suggests it may be time to leave PSG...

Probably heard Rashford is going to get paid more than him and lost his shit...

He's trying to get more money and more French players in. Say what you want about him and the quality of the league but he is attached to the country.

Aren't those just interpretations of rumors? I don't think Mbappe would have an issue with Brazilian players, I mean I know he is attached to his country but I don't think any player cares where their teammates come from as long as they bring a positive to the team.

As others have suggested, I think it's more about him wanting to be the #9. This is where he's always seen himself in his career, and he's shown he can be a great striker since he's only trailing Messi by 4 goals in Europe with 6 less games played. He shouldn't be playing second fiddle to anybody in PSG (or anywhere else, to be honest).

Basically PSG have to get used to the fact they are in a way like United in that they may have prestige and history (to a certain extent) and they may have money, but they aren't Real Madrid or Barcelona. And without a manager like Pep to keep them happy, they will just be used as a stepping stone.

Sucks, but it's true.

They have yet to lose a key player in their prime they wanted to keep since the money came in.

Strange thing for a utd fan to say
The new logic around seems like many United fans want City to strengthen as much as possible to stop Liverpool from winning the Premier League for years to come. Because Manchester United don't have the power to stop Liverpool anymore. Kinda like a long-term contract with the lesser of the two evils. That sounds ridiculous, but I kind of see where they're coming from. Our board has made the current situation that bad for us fans.

And how many have they signed from a young age? Players like Mbappe are a different breed. Young, talented and ambitious and in demand are a lot harder to keep, especially in a league where the title is all but guaranteed and where it's far less respected. Top players want to play for top teams, and sorry, but PSG aren't a top team. They might pay top wages but they aren't a top team.

Marquinhos and Verratti.

Maybe he'd come in a cash plus statue plus naming rights to the stadium deal.

I mean if he wants more responsibility, surely we have a shot.

He'd have to carry the team for 3 years before we acquire a squad that catches up. How's that for responsibility?

Yep, get him signed up. Woody would be tossing one off for years off the back of signing him, as would all the fans for once!

Agreeing.
His age, his nationality, his marketability (spelling ?) will make it very tough for another club to sign him this summer at least. PSG are ready to bench, send to reserves and completely freeze players who fall out with them in terms of contract extensions.

I reckon they’d suffer quite a bit if they pulled that shite with Mbappe though. That would surely make top players think twice before signing in the future.

The real questions are how much and how soon does Mbappe want to replace his idol at Madrid.

Because in the end they can’t afford a media shitstorm around their new poster boy for club and country.

It's a risk of course but then again players love money and Paris lifestyle so who knows.

Would be ridiculous if he wants influence on transfers. Breakdown of authority.

It would take 250-300 just to get PSG to answer the phone. No one can afford that. They wont sell. Saying that if we could get 100 for De Gea and 150 for Pogba..........

Probably just after mo money from Quatar Saint Germain

But if he’s serious, maybe Real Madrid can leave us alone for one Summer

Honestly as soon as I heard his interview I was like : "Welcome to the 30 millions a year club !".

From Paris United twitter (can't link twitter) which is somewhat reliable but with controversy, the context of his declaration :

- His father will start the negociation for a new contract this summer (but I think everybody could see this being the main topic)
- He would like to be the clear number nine.
- Insurance on the recruitment (Nicolas Pépé and Tanguy Ndombélé)

So if those things are true (I think the 2 first things isn't surprising for anybody)... That would be basically making a power move on all levels : Money, main focus on attack, attracting best young french players and might somewhat counter balance "Team Brazil" in the lockeroom.

Maybe I'm seeing too much into this (especially the last point) but I love me some PSG drama :D

Guessing Madrid bound or as people say just a play on his next contract.

Such a shame that these world class players wouldn’t even think of joining us.

Player power getting worse by the day, I know he's won more in his short career than most do in their entire career but seriously he's still a very young player who has a lot to learn and he already thinks he's bigger than the club? Fecking hell.

He wants to play as a striker and not be pushed on the wing, that's pretty much it. Also Neymar and Mbappé are supposed to have a close relationship, for some a reason a part of the press mainly foreign try to oppose them.

Mbappe was / is a Madrid fan? and also was a Ronaldo "fanboy". Pretty clear come and get me plea to Los Blancos? I can only imagine he must be very bored playing in Ligue 1, similar to Neymar. Just don't get tested enough, PSG were 20+ points clear with a game in hand before they the "bad spell" this season.

Money isn't everything, I don't think he's a mercenary. Doesn't matter how much money PSG offer. Question is if PSG would sell, and if they would, how the transfer could be worked out financially.

Still don't know how PSG are getting around FFP....
They loaned Mbappe for a season so they could offset his cost onto the next season instead of the same one as Neymar. They also haven't spent over about €30m in the last season, their midfield is pretty shit in comparison to Europe's elite and their defence has a 37 year old right back in it. They've also taken to getting free transfers the last two summers also to try and address the issues (Buffon, Herrera).

They're not throwing it around.

He’s just taken a glance at the PL table and realised that the club that knocked him out of the CL hasn't even qualified for it nest season.
