No idea about boxing. and I can understand why the Sky Sports commentators admired Mayweather's technical defensive ability. However, at the end of the day feck-all was achieved so can anyone explain why is this a landslide?

My suspicions have been confirmed, Punching: The Sport is not worth saving.

He's made a career out of fighting like this though. I agree he is boring and the most detestable cnut in and out of the boxing ring, but no matter who he fights he does exactly this to them. He is technically superior and impossible to hit consistently, not only that, he is like a feckin meerkat with superb reactions. I've been waiting to see someone put him on his arse for a 10 count but alas I seriously doubt that will happen now. If he doesn't retire the biggest shout is for Amir Khan to fight him and well, that says it all.

Anyway, the result is what it is, I considered this as I looked at my Hublot watch, one of the greatest watches in the world, I look forward to posting with you all in the future.

Don't understand how anyone can't see how good Floyd was tonight.
Watch any other Manny fight and compare it to that. He makes anyone look crap

Because the scores are based on each round, and Floyd did enough to win most of the rounds. Tagged Manny more often with signifcant blows, was more active, more aggressive, etc. All three judges agreed hence "unanimous decision"

What Mayweather did to Pac is sort of what West Brom did to us earlier today.

Probably more like what Mourinho does.

I understand why people found that boring, and it certainly isn't what I'd call a great fight, but Mayweather made Pacquiao look ordinary.

Floyd is almost too good defensively to ever be in a truly explosive fight.

He's a masterful bore. I love the guy, love Pac too.

Bit of a let down though, wasn't it?

Incredible from Mayweather. Absolute masterclass. Dominated from start to finish, I loved that! Easiest money ever as well.

Most of the greatest fights in history are tinged with stories of human struggle and humiliation. It's what makes boxing so historically compelling and why it's not such of a tragedy to see it falling by the wayside as a form of entertainment.

Mayweather just controlled it from the mid-rounds onwards, I scored a couple of rounds level that might have gone either way but I had it 117-114 and I was probably a bit more generous than I could have been for Pacquiao because he was more aggressive.

But whatever, typical Mayweather fight and win. Can't knock that defense and counter punching, Pacquiao barely hit him.

From a technical point, it doesn't get much better. If you want a brawl then Mayweather will not give you that.

Its not about the brawl, its about the spirit, courage, entertainment and of course the fight.

None of those things were present and its sad that people call that superb or a masterclass. Now wonder this is a dying sport...

I love Pacman but that's wrong. Defense is part of the sport. Money probably is in the top 5-10 discussion

Yeah, that guy with the stupid tattoo on his face sitting ringside is a bum.

Khan against Mayweather :lol::lol::lol::lol:

As for tonight, typical Mayweather. It's effective, it's great but not what the viewer wants to see.

He won. End of.

You can see why UFC is overtaking the sport though
