You can sign player any time. It's just registration window. Madrid signed Militao 2-3 months back, he will be registered when the window opens.

I think he's made his choice already and it's Barcelona. I reckon he is just toying with the media they way they have toyed with him over the last 2 months. I would love to be wrong and hope he will sign for us.
Our priority this sumer should be defence, if we start with young Jones and smalling as our main defenders I expect a difficult season ahead.
Our defensive problems run deeper than the starting centre backs, although de Ligt would definitely be an improvement on Smalling and Jones he'd do nothing about De Gea's lack of authority on crosses and general lack of command of the penalty area or the lack of protection from central midfield.

I genuinely don't get why anyone would want to sign for the team that's just won the CL over their competitors. wouldn't you want to come in and help your new team make the step from contending (semifinals/finals) to actually winning rather than just tagging onto a team that might well even have lost their hunger a little?
Yeah, it would be different if you were at the end of your career. With time on your side, you can really make a club your success.

United has been a pit of stagnation since Fergie left, and I as a Noggy wouldn't want, say, Ødegaard to come here, so I can totally see why LvG would say that. Because it’s hard enough to get enough minutes and to fulfill your potential in the first place. Add to that that we have no idea whether we’ll have the same manager for all of next season, the pressures of playing for United who everyone wants to see go down in flames, and a player group devoid of true leadership, and I reckon Ødegaard wouldn’t even need to feck up for his stay here to be detrimental to his development.
We’re too shaky, and Norway never gets talents like this one.
If I have to endure a season of United wobbling, Ole getting fired, and Ødegaard being relegated to reserves, I might bloody top myself.
