I'm obviously not saying that they should be earning £50-60k a week, but 350? That's for the real superstars. Neither De Ligt, Felix or Sancho deserve anything over £200k.

It’s not cheap pricing a player away from Barcelona.

I don't understand this. His wage at Its would be what an average wage for his size of transfer would be and big clubs make these signings every summer.
You don't come to Utd solely for the money and its insulting to our club that this is even given credence
Lets be honest here, its money vs messi/Barca unlike for De Jong who only went to Barca for Messi/Barca not the stupid wages he's being paid.

Barca offering 200k with CL and atleast one guaranteed medal a year . What should be our offer for one of the best CB that could last 10+ years?
Thiago Silva, Kompany et all joined respective clubs for money + long team vision of the team. We need to start somewhere and I think de ligt is our best shot at a excellent rebuild.

Skysports is basing off their "spanish expert" Ballague aren't they? No way is he reliable, especially with anything that goes against his beloved Barca or Pep.
I don't think Balague works for Sky any more since they lost the rights to La Liga. He's been on the BBC quite a lot this year although I presume he's freelance so he might still do some work for Sky. Their sources are generally shite whoever they are.

I think De Ligt would be a great signing for a complete team but would disappoint at United. He’s got a similar profile to Lindelof (better though) and would need someone quick next to him. I think Gimenez would be cheaper and a better partner for Lindelof.

Sky is no longer a reliable source. I would have more doubts if they said the deal was on.

I think that's a bit outdated now. Agents acting for players should be paid for by the players but it seems to have shifted to where the club seem to pay them. Not sure how it came to this.

If this is the case, this will be the reason why folks like Woodward needs to be around.

We would not be in a position to fight through the ups & downs of our post-Fergie era if we didn't have our ridiculous revenue streams -- to enable us to keep in touching distance to compete/re-built with the more successful (football results-wise) clubs.

He just needs to know where his strengths are and get folks who can help us dominate the footballing sides again. The Scousers had no money and bad buys for years. At least we have decent revenues coming in.

Voice actors and Reddit ITKs claim its done. Sky Sports saying he's off to Barca?? Hmm tough one to call this

There's only the Mirror saying £350k so take from that what you will. Martial is on £250k and Pogba £300k so to pay De Ligt £150k is a slap in the face, considering Rialoa is the one brokering the deal and know's United's wages

Usually when something comes up from the club it is followed by multiple reports.

Until then, I will believe Spoofex.

If SSN were correct then more reliable sources than them would have this story.
They've completely fecked their reputation.
Its mass briefings or nothing with us

Is Martial seriously on £250k?! Oh man, I give up. This club deserves to get rinsed by these players and that bastard of an agent.

Why do people still claim that Balague works for Sky? He left them a year ago and works for the beeb now.

It's like item number #152 on why the TV license sucks.

If Utd have denied it then Sky won’t be only people who run the story - lets see what happens. For now, I suspect the source is in fact Ballague.

People on here need to stop thinking our club is competent enough to make a signing of this calibre.

There is no way this is happening. The signing makes too much sense.

Ogden jumping in now as well, it's going to be the traditional old school useless hacks vs the new generation of equally useless reddit ITKs.

Whoever wins, muppets lose.

Some people invested so much into this. This transfer will teach your lot a lesson about ITKs and putting your hopes into fake dreams. At least you will learn in May rather than by August.

It seems that Ed is being played about again. He should have squashed any rumours of signing De Legit and in the background did some sniffing of a possibility of a deal.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again - sky sports know jack shit!

Don’t forget we are still awaiting for Benatia to arrive.

Seriously this type of nonsense is so cliched. Barcelona have the highest wage bill in the world. They're attractive to players because of the messi factor but also due to the fact that they pay good amount of money to their signings.

If more journos chime in with "Utd not interested articles", might be a briefing.
