Strangely quiet. Where should he be now?
Done with his medical and everything signed.
This is the only club that takes pleasure in hiding its newest additions, should have just used the presser to unveil Darmian as well.
He was still in an airport in Italy at that point, would have been difficult
That's a bit like the Falcao/Blind deal when Falcao got all the attention. They even had a presser together in which Blind was only asked 3 questions and Falcao around 12.
Sky even gave Falcao a special.
Hope he's passed his medical. Wish United would hurry up and confirm it's a done deal.
I think they're itching for a "Woodward completes triple swoop" with Schneiderlin, Darmian and Schweinsteiger next to him.
Its strange. Sometimes we announce deals with '...pending medical' and sometime we just straight up say we have signed someone. Wonder why there's a difference...
I think "pending medical" is when a deal is agreed beforehand and the selling club has to make an immediate announcement (to make it clear to markets/shareholders), but the medical takes a while to complete (season ongoing, player on vacation etc).
It's obvious what's going on. We're going to announce Darmian, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger at the same time.

Feel sorry for him. Even United giving priority to the Schweini deal when Darmian's already had his medical yesterday.

Might take a lot of pressure off him though which might be a good thing.
Bastian will come to Carrington and be like "Zere iz somevon in ze MRI. Get ze man aus of mein MRI." and the announcement of Darmian will be delayed by yet another day.

The quick, even premature, announcement re Schweiny makes it seem strange that nothing official has been tweeted re Darmian. Not as done as we think? Or have they had to rush the Bastian announcement out because Rummenige has jumped the gun?
Well Bayern had a press conference today and announced it so we were always going to announce it ourselves immediately after that, whereas Torino haven't officially announced it as a done deal yet.

The Bayern stuff today forced it. Darmian will have his moment too.
Bayern publicly announced that Schweinsteiger was leaving so we were forced to put out a "pending medical" tweet to match, Torino havent mentioned anything about Darmian leaving yet so we don't need to put anything up until all the paperwork and photo's are done and the club is ready.
Probably a case of dotting the legal I's and crossing the Italian T's. Buying from Italy is notoriously litigious, more so than Spain even so my guess is that until everything is 100% hunky dory with the legal stuff from the Torino side we won't announce. It's inevitable LVG has already confirmed it.
It's really strange, why do for Darmian they didn't make this??
