Whats the latest? Is he in manchester, london, sthing 3rd?:)

Also castles is crap at trolling..
The worst bit is I don't think he's trolling. He's genuinely that bitter about United. Quite embarrassing actually!

Love this guy. Thought there'd be more excitement about this, no more Valencia at RB.
This is based purely on the world cup game against us.

The man's an absolute bell end.

Just checked his recent United tweets

This latest one about will he be first choice right back in 2 years time
Schneiderlin apparently prefers Arsenal
Ramos wants new Madrid contract
Nani will earn more in 1 year than we're getting as a fee.

Ruck off you gimp

Has anybody actually watched him regularly? Would love to hear someone who watches him on a weekly basis tell us about him. I am sure it is somewhere in the thread already.

With some luck, Di Maria might know some Italian since he's one of those many Argentines with Italian descent.

Darmian---Smalling---????---Shaw

It would be nice to have a settled first-choice back four again. It's been a while...

As long as he doesn't run around in a giant circle to avoid touching the ball with left foot and can cross beyond the first defender's shins he'll improve us.

Hope this is just some Express Bullshit...

United chief scout tells Louis van Gaal: Don't sign this target
MANCHESTER UNITED chief scout Jim Lawlor has told Louis van Gaal to avoid signing Torino's Matteo Darmian, according to reports.

The Italy international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as a replacement for Rafael, who looks set to leave the club after losing his place in the starting XI to versatile midfielder Antonio.

However, Goal.com/it claims that the defender is no longer a viable option for United following a scathing report from Lawlor.

Having watched Darmian in action for his country, the scout reportedly told Van Gaal: "He is no better than the players we currently have, I don't see any room for improvement."

Matteo Darmian has been linked with a move away from Torino this summer
The revelation means that United will continue in their pursuit of a new right-back ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Former target Dani Alves opted to stay at Barcelona rather than complete a free transfer to Old Trafford, while Liverpool won the race to land Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne.

Why are we using Goal (the source). Besides the Torino manager has said he's joining us. Pretty much wrapped up!

This was an article from 2nd July. I just posted it here 'cos this was a different opinion about Darmian than the ones we have seen from other sources.

I'm just hoping this is just bs.

Darmian - Ramos - Otamendi - Rojo

That shit would boss the PL.
As much as I love Smalling I have to agree with this. There would be absolutely no problems with injury plagues in that department and it looks extremely balanced with solid amount of experience needed in Champions League.

I just read on RAWK that Clyne is on 90k a week...that's almost double what we are going to pay Darmian (48k I think)

There's no chance of us signing Ramos AND Otamendi. Rojo over Shaw? Behave.

Darmian-Ramos-Smalling-Shaw

That would be good enough for me.

They should feel lucky they signed him after his statements about playing in Champions League.

Apparently we're after both and both prefer us, nothing official just rumours but one can dream.

Rojo over Shaw?
Yep. I really like Rojo, a good player who's more experienced than Shaw and less injury prone. Also he is capable of playing LB, had a great Copa America playing there too.

Don't get me wrong i think Shaw will be our first choice LB for many years to come but he's still 19 and for now i would go with Rojo or Blind ahead of him while we allow him time to properly gel with the team and be ready for playing many games in a row without injuries.

We're not even sure if Shaw is back to being fit enough to sustain one season at United level.

Can you guarantee Smalling will stay fit so we won't have to play Jones every week and risk him too ?

So where does he fall on the RB list LvG maybe had?

Alves, Coleman, Darmian?

Alves, Fabhino, Coleman, Darmian.

Or were we after just him all along?

Shaw isn't injury prone, and the best way to help him adapt is putting him in the first team immediately.

Well apparently we have been in talks with him for 4 months. All the other RB links came from english journalists who had no clue about Darmian so were probably talking crap

Appears to be a good solid signing at a great price.

The kind of signing we used to make in the glory days under Fergie. Good stuff.
