So rejected Spurs last week. Watched us yesterday and decided Spurs were the better option.
I don’t think there is .. is there ?Tottenham made an obligation to buy for more than Bayern ever imagined they'd command.
Seriously, we've literally been looking at loans for others like Nkunku this windowYeah right, the idea that we'd have said no to a straight loan is daft. We're desperate.

The lad is 19 years old, has only 16 career goals. And hasn't scored since May 2024. 9 months ago.
And he is a left sided forward.
We need a proven 30 goal a season number 9.
Not a 60m prospect, or another one for the future.
We're already stocked up on those.
Bayern look to be happy with a straight transfer, loan with obligation or a straight loan seemingly.Nah. They wanted an obligation to buy we didn’t.
Exactly. They tried bending us over and we said no. The only reason he’s going spurs now is so he doesn’t have to stay unhappy at Bayern, they’ve obviously had a fall out with him.Yeah right, the idea that we'd have said no to a straight loan is daft. We're desperate.
Rejected a permanent move to spurs, joining on loan, no option/ obligation
Whats shocking is going for another youngster in a position where we need an established goalscorer, they dont have to be a goal a game but they need to be capable of 20- 25 a season.Shocking on our end. We have 0 threat up front, well done ineos.
That's all there is to it, yeahBayern look to be happy with a straight transfer, loan with obligation or a straight loan seemingly.
My guess is our option to buy was either too low or Bayern didn't want one in case he lights it up, making them not get the most for return on investment.
It is actually quite funny. Tel basically said that he won't go to Spurs permanently but that it is okay for him to play there for 4 months to get minutes. So rejected Spurs last week. Watched us yesterday and decided Spurs were the better option.
Ye good luck finding one of them in January and with our budget. Who on earth is letting there best goalscorer leave in the middle of a season? The lad is 19 years old, has only 16 career goals. And hasn't scored since May 2024. 9 months ago.

What's the point when he's currently not better than our options?Could we have not offered that?
I did … and I’m posting the sameRead up before posting
Easy to stumble upon after a shooting starWhere does one find a 30 goal a season number 9 when we are skint, up against it with PSR, have no one to sell and have about 12 hours to go in the window?
Sure sounded like it to me. And United squandered the opportunity because they wouldn't agree to a loan without an option. And he wanted United it seemed.
Same here. Looks very easy to understand why both of Spurs' offers were accepted while United's was refused by Bayern.I am seriously confused as why people don't understand Bayern's approach.
Surely it's more embarrassing for Spurs than us?
They are loaning a player who didn't want to join them permanently
We've loaned out 2 forwards when we were already lacking in that area, it's literally become a numbers problemWhat's the point when he's currently not better than our options?
Fair enough from their perspective.Bayern look to be happy with a straight transfer, loan with obligation or a straight loan seemingly.

What's wrong with an option?I don't get the confusion. It makes total sense from Bayern point of view.
We'll that's not accurate either. Bayarn rejected united. If our loan offers where accepted by Bayarn, he would be doing a medical for us.So rejected Spurs last week. Watched us yesterday and decided Spurs were the better option.
I don't see why that's embarrassing. He's 19. Will get some game time and then in the summer he's still a Bayern player, which may be his long term preference.
The PL is very competitive, which suits some players but not others. No harm in that.
Certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at a short loan for Messi, even if he didn't want to join permanently
Had the same comparison in mindHe's saying you're good for a shag but doesn't want to introduce you to his mates
For a seller: everything. An option is only good for the one holding it. It caps the upside and offers no protection. What's wrong with an option?
Also, I wonder whether we did ask for a straight loan initially too. I find it unlikely that we wouldn't want a loan for 6 months.
People having a proper meltdown over a fairly simple situationAll of this didn't happen.
I think Tel wants to play football but maybe not long term with Spurs. In this way, they keep the 60m option kind of open, but can keep him or sell him to someone else. This baffles me.
So Bayern rejected our loan offer, as we wanted to insert an option. Bayern wanted an obligation, said no.
The next day, he's off to Spurs, who he previously rejected, for a straight loan with nowt attached, even though they want rid.
Yep, that sums it up nicely. He's saying you're good for a shag but doesn't want to introduce you to his mates
But I don't think United were not putting a straight loan on offer. For a seller: everything. An option is only good for the one holding it. It caps the upside and offers no protection.

Spurs are the only ones who offered real money. If Bayern can make that loan palatable to Tel then it would seem their preferred way to go.
We only wanted it with an option from our side, but probably not an option at 60m, so not really in the same ballpark.
We wanted to buy him
If we offered a plain loan, he'd be on his way to Manchester nowBut I don't think United were not putting a straight loan on offer.
Reads to me like Bayern wanted purchase obligation or nothing. Then it looked like hel stay but pressure from the player pushed them to accept a straight loan offer and Spurs win.
