He would be perfect for United, a much better fit for your system than ours at Arsenal. Having said that, we’re desperate for reinforcements up front, so I’d totally take him if the choice was him or no one.

We won't do any effort to get him, he'll end up winning the league for Arsenal

Why aren’t we trying to sign him is the question.

They have money and you don't. They are also 2nd in the table not 13th.
Are you here on this forum exclusively just to put hot water on anything united do?

Saying that I actually really like Charlton and miss them in the prem! Curbishley was the one!

Agree he'd be a very good fit in Utd's system, however I'd still like him. Short term he can cover up front and wide left, but long term I'd love us to have an attacking option in that left 8 and I think he could play that role well for us.

Because of his versatility, he wouldn't block a move for a Sesko type traditional centre forward in the summer.

You obviously need more than 11 players, but for the amount he may cost, I worry that an (hopefully) incoming Zubimendi leaves him no place in the starting lineup. And seeing as he could be a difference maker in Wolves relegation battle, I can’t see them letting him go for an amount of money that makes sense.

Unless he’s a long term option in the left, but he hasn’t played a ton of games as an out and out winger, I don’t believe.

Would be great to get him. Hopefully we’re preparing to prepare a concept of a bid.

It's a tough 1. I can totally see the value of having a Cunha type player in the squad, I see him as almost a Trossard / Jesus hybrid,.and I think both could have been on the verge of leaving in the summer (obviously Jesus can't now with his injury), so he'd have value there, but at the same time, like you say he would cost a lot, but I'd still like to have an out and out wide man and and out and out centre forward by the end of the summer window, so would this block that?

But then, he's also probably the most 'obtainable' quality forward on the market this window if we are still looking to salvage something from this season. It's a tough one to call, especially without knowing budgets and long term targets.

Would be a fantastic move for Forest if they get it done.

I think signing Cunha doesn't move the needle enough to salvage the league or the CL. We're going to pay a premium to end up around the same spot anyway and then use up a big chunk of our funds. We do need a big name striker but let's not forget that there is a good chance we're removing Zinchenko, Kiwior, Partey, Jorginho, Neto, Sterling from the squad.
So come June we will also probably be looking at signing a GK, a LB, a CB AND proper cover for Saka. The incoming fees won't be enough to replace everyone with a 60M Cunha hole in our budget.
I think this would be a mid and long term mistake to sign him for a short feel good period. I also don't think there's other active suitors; why go to Forest when he can wait it out 6 months and make his choice for a reduced fee (and better wages).

First time ever seen him when he played against us and made a mug out of us.

Good touch, excellent dribbling and the flair. Does he normally play like this or was that just a one off?

Surely we should be in for him.

He's not a 70m player.
He would be our best player, besides (maybe) Bruno. Would fit the system like a glove on the left 10 and rejuvinate the team imo. Always a threat and a great ball carrier, seems to have become a constant goal-threat to add to that as well of late.

He is a good player who probably fits our system well but we can’t and shouldn’t be spending £70m on any position except perhaps No 9.

Rumours of United bidding for £70M players has be a thing of the past really...anyone with even a slight interest in football knows United's finances are a mess.

Make is believable, somewhere around £50M and it might be worth a click.

Efficient squad building is so hard when smaller PL clubs can hold out for £70m for their best players.

It’s a completely different game to Fergie’s glory days. It used to be relatively straightforward to sign Carrick, Yorke or Van der Sar from other teams in the league.
