Match Day Threads

Jacob, grow up a bit mate

I have one request for those who create matchday threads;

Don't create them until one day before the match is due. There were times last season when I had to wade through 7 or 8 pages of absolute bollocks, (people trying to guess formations etc when they didnt even know who would be playing yet) in order to find the actual start of the match! I come to those threads to read about how a match is going and i guess most people are the same. I dont come to read your personal conversations

so please, sort it out, or this season i will

Hi GB just a suggestion to put this as Sticky on the Matchday thread so that all can see and take note? :D

That was uncalled for..

So be it, I've deleted the thread.

 You just proved his point. You're being childish.

Screw your thread then. Top, make one.

I proved I'm childish by obeying an admin's request? Wow

BahamRed has already done it.

"Don't create them until one day before the match is due. "

I thought you deleted your thread because he asked you to grow up.

3 pages on who should start matchday threads.

Would not have done it after all the good work you put in deleting samabachan's posts. The request was not to create them until the day before kick-off.

Some match-thread muppets had the nerve to blame ME for the Munich anniversary loss to City at Old Trafford because i created the thread. Some people take it waaaay to seriously.

I got loads of shit aswell when I created the Blackburn thread and we drew. Some guy wanted me burnt

I think that was me...

It was a joke. All this nonsense over who starts a thread is ridiculous.

I've never deliberately burned anyone, even though I used to be a Catholic.

I did enjoy hurling abuse at Jacob but I'm just trying to put the bollocks he's talking into context.

Well, you won't be hurling any more abuse at fellow posters in the Match day forum - you're banned until you decide to improve your attitude.

If I see you hurling abuse at other posters in other parts of the forum you're out for good.

How about we delete any matchday threads created more than 48 hours before the game starts?

What's the point in that?
I enjoy the matchday threads from the end of the previous game. I like to plan my week according to the games and that always gives me a good indication of when the games are. Admittedly there are other places to go for that info but why shouldn't it be in here.
All this to please Jacob? How many bitches does he have?

Which is why I asked it as a quetion. We don't want a juvenile competition to start the new thread and we don't want to restrict it to the point that spoils people's entertainment.

Can we avoid discussion of your sex life and concentrate on match day threads please ;)
:nono: Leave my penis out of this please. It's very private and gets embarassed when its talked about in public.

There is an enigma within a dilema within a paradox regarding the matchday thread and I would be loathe to suggest a solution. The race to start it seconds after the whistle (or is it seconds before the final whistle, who would know) is becoming a futile example of Internet silliness.
I believe the content is important. Tops had it down pat but we've scared him off.
Mods have decisions to make. That's what they're there for. Clear it up chaps.

Am with you Bahama. Mods will clear the air once and for all. GB said to create 1 day before the actual match. I'm all for it.

 at this thread. People take their Matchday threads seriously.

Wtf are you on about? I didn't want this.

I actually use the matchday forum as a way to find out about kickoff times and opponents for upcoming fixtures. I'd support your suggestion, but as an add-on, is there any chance of a stickied thread which keeps track of the fixture list as we go through it?

I Agree.

lets see which cnut doesn't agree with it in a couple of hrs

Forget it guys, let him be it's not worth pissing all over because of him. At the end of the day, a matchday thread is still a matchday thread. Doesnt matter who creates it.

Very noble Hycool.

Its not like you took the time to post GB's post in Girish's thread because he made it straight after the game or anything is it!

Forget it?

You were a silly boy starting your shit stirring straight after Girish started the thread.
