Is there anyway we can stop the childish behavior that seems to plague the starting of match day threads.

Top as set the trend with his easy on the eye and informative threads, so we could we limit him to starting them or maybe just one of the mods can do it? Either way this should hopefully stop the nonsense we get on the first few pages of what seems to be every single match day thread.

Thanks.

I agree, it should just be sorted by the Mods, or someone named as the thread starter. It seems to be a big deal to some.

It should be Top.

Top's are not IMO perfection, nor was the status quo, the aim if anything, should be to agree upon a set formula that most Cafers can meet rather than to exclude a good many from taking part if they so wish. Particularly new people.

It cannot be denied that Top can do decent artowk/graphics compared to what we had, equally i'd say that the text part appeared cluttered.

I don't give a feck what it looks like really. His has loads of useful information and it looking much nicer is an added bonus.

To be fair. I think the mods do need to sort this out because it is getting a bit silly now. You had some members posting the next match day thread during extra time of the previous game fgs. OTT.

Top's layout should be the template for everybody's, very pleasing on the eye and he's added useful information, such as the form guide, stations with live coverage etc. Whether he should be the one to do it every week is another question.

I'd describe some of "loads of useful information" as clutter, and in fact makes it less pleasign on the eye.

The underlining of the headline details of any match is a particular negative IMO, pros and cons as i said.

who really gives a feck?
as long as it just tells you who, when and where.
The channels helps too.

After that people can start posting their news, lineups, predictions etc

Like I said I don't really give a shit how it looks. The TV stations, odds etc are fantastic and IMO it looks better anyway.

fecks sake, whoever posts it first gets it. Stop the bickering. And stop ruining the matchday threads with things that are of no relevance. Those threads are there to discuss the games and nothing more.

stfu everybody. The first to create the thread earns the right. It has always been like this and there is no reason to change this.

zomfg no. u need 2 leaf it 2 da proven matchday thread starters like vidared, uverwise dese uver posters will jinx us an stuff and cawse us 2 lose innit.

You really need matchday threads to be perfection?

everyone knows im the best

Following the matchday threads last season was memorable partly due to fact we won most of our games, and getting all so excited to see who is the next guy to create it. Always happens within 10 min after the end of the game. And it's VidaRed!

hycool the champions league final thread gets me excited even if i read it now...you must get the chelscum thread this season also :D

I just created the Newcastle thread. Which mod deleted it?
Did I cross a line in Matchday thread ethics?

One can wonder, is it only the first post that is visible? Post your fecking channels somewhere in the thread so people can see it.

Then you have to scroll.

Face it, Top's threads are better than yours.

Why you are taking this so seriously I will never know.

If you lot think we are policing who does and who doesn't start match day threads then you need you head examining. It jut isn't going to happen.

In general we will delete any thread that is started before the previous game has concluded. I can't see much need for a matchday thread before the day of the match TBH since it is primarily for peple without TV access to the games. I suppose you might want to discuss formations or injuries the day before.

Silliness will be stamped on hard within the threads and people who duplicate match day threads will be infracted.

And people are lucky that it wasn't me that had to clean up your mess in the match day thread. I'd have handed out more than one permanent ban from the match day threads and infracted a few as well.

Didn't hycool get a permenant ban last year?
