Mata | Mourinho says it's just a Mata of time

He should be. He's doing training at every Chelsea session and he's not injured recently. Doubt he will start though if we can get him in time for Cardiff

After Moyes' interview regarding Fellaini and how he needed to be integrated into the team, I don't think Mata will start regardless. At least not until after Cardiff to give him some time to train with the team.

Not quite the same, Fellaini joined the team and struggled to adapt to the intensity of training. Mata was already playing for a top team.

Plus, we weren't as 'desperate' then as we are now.

Yeah RvP was signed on Friday and he started on the bench at Everton the following Monday, but then that was the first game of the season and he didn't had much pre-season to be fair

I dunno, usually I'd agree and would expect moyes to also, but home against Cardiff should be perfect game for him to get into the team as we have some difficult games coming up.

Likely on the bench though...

He was training under moyes for years. If anyone woulda known about Moyes' intensive training, it would be Fellaini.

And I'm not sure..I think we're more desperate now considering all the losses we've taken and we've just been bounced out by Sunderland....at home.

This. Sorry, Duff.

For juan more night he is still a blue.

Hopefully at his medical he'll realise that he won't have the competent and lovely Eva looking after his physio needs. He might take one look at the incompetent buffoons in your medical team and jump on the first coach back to london.

He sure can pull off the suit look thats for sure

Juan Mata: Man United move delayed by Chelsea's Salah wait

By David Ornstein BBC Sport

Juan Mata's club-record £37m transfer to Manchester United has been delayed until Chelsea complete the acquisition of Mohamed Salah from FC Basel.

The Blues have agreed an £11m deal for Salah, 21, but the Egypt midfielder needs to accept personal terms, undergo a medical and receive a work permit.

That process is not expected to be finalised for at least two days.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho confirmed on Friday that playmaker Mata, 25, was travelling to Manchester for a medical.

Mourinho said: "Things are going in a good direction. We have allowed Juan to travel and have the medical.

"The player deserves respect and to play and because the offer is right, we allowed him to negotiate."

However, United will not let the medical go ahead until Chelsea have signed off on the deal.

I hope you're taking it okay mate. I know how this felt exactly when Ronaldo left for Madrid in 09, or Becks in 03

Except he himself and Moyes said he couldn't cope. The intensity went up because the level of players he was training with went up.

The delay makes sense considering the Salah thing only came about once Chelsea were willing to let Mata go.

Look at us, we won't sign off Wilfried Zaha on a loan until we get an attacking player in!

Barney doesn't even know yet why I responded with "are you serious?" He just automatically assumed I agree with the person he was quoting.

Well, adding a bit of pace to his game wouldn't make him a top 5 player in the world.
I never said it would, did I? I responded with "Are you serious?" because liverpool fans are the worlds worse for overrating players.

Fair enough, I made a bad assumption.

And I think every club is as bad as each other in terms of overrating their own players.

Exactly...you do it, we do it, all fans do it!

This transfer would have caused even bigger an uproar if it wasn't for the fact that Mata has been frozen out by Mourinho. And we all know football fans can have a memory of a goldfish, hence some might have forgot how good he is.

Best creator in the league in his two seasons at Chelsea and can add a decent amount of goals as well.

Checked that account that @SteveJ posted in twitter thread and yea, this barber's mentioned Mata's transfer to United couple of times today and he's got a photo of him and Mata on instagram.

Seems it's all sealed, just waiting with announcing it.
