This seems like nonsense anyway, Mount doesn't fit in with the type of midfielder EtH has tried to sign at all.
It won’t be for 55m because his contract is expired next year 2024. 25m for a player who has poor season should do it.

Except he's not. Don't get me wrong, I think there are better players out there to be targeting. But this is a player who had 28 goals/assists for club and country last year. He's simply having a bad season which can happen.

Facts! Martinez is terrible. Too short to play at CB and just waiting to be found out! Erikson is way too slow for the Premier League, Casemiro keeps getting himself sent off and his cheeks are far too chubby so he's a distraction too! Antony is a waste of money and Melissia (as Neville insists on calling him) can't even keep that bum Luke Shaw out of the team!!

He's a good squad player who's not having the best of seasons. But that's about it - a squad player. Which begs the question of why he would come here to be a squad player when he's already one at Chelsea?

Casemiro, Licha, Eriksen all successes and you can add Malacia to that as well. Antony was overpriced but hopefully he adapts even more to the league next year. So 4/5 can be classified as a success.
What am I missing? Dubravka? Butland? Are you adding Weghorst and Sabitzer to “his signings” as well? When they were free emergency loan signings in January because the club had no money?
On topic, I would only take mount on a free
Fir £55m and a hefty wage - no thanks.I think Mount's is at his best when he is part of the attacking unit of a front 3 or the most advanced CM in a midfield 3, he excels linking midfield with attack and his off the ball movements allows him to arrive at the box to score or create chances, but I never seen him play in a double pivot, while players like Mac Allister & Gravenberch are bonafide CMs who actually play or played in a double pivot systems, and Maddison can function as the most advanced CM in a double pivot since he has good passing range, so I do not see Mount similar to those players, that is why I really doubt Mount is an option for EtH in the CM position, however I can see Mount being brought in as a cover/competition for Bruno, but that is way too expensive at 55M and not a priority like ST or CM for example.
