Why is Chelsea letting him go?
It's more of a case of him letting Chelsea go.
Why is Chelsea letting him go?
You are allowed to sign more than one player you know.
If it is it may shrivel up.Should my cock be out over this?
He has one year left and they need to sell HH players to buff their FFP so it all goes on their books as a profit. Why is Chelsea letting him go?
Supposedly got promised one thing then Chelsea went back on it.Why is Chelsea letting him go?
Yeah, I think the two attacking 8's is nice on paper but as a collective we have to be very very good for it to work well. I don't think a midfield trio of Casemiro, Mount and Bruno is quite the right balance. A huge amount of defensive responsibility on Casemiro and I don't think any of them are capable of being a consistent tempo setter, particularly against the top sides.Yeah he’ll improve us in that sense for sure but if our overall press and compactness isn’t good enough yeah we’ll have the same issues. City did it with de bruyne and silva but they made sure they dominated the ball, reducing the opportunities for transitions and played so high up the pitch too. We’re literally tbe oppposite, our possession numbers are average and will continue to be so with the players we have and we don’t play with a particularly high line.
He's much better than Cleverly to be fair.If we can somehow manage to get his best mate, Declan Rice, as well then this might end up being very shrewd.
If not and we don't bring in another 6 then I feel it'll be Tom Cleverly 2.0
Steady on
His position is a Bruno / Eriksen type 8/10Are we still buying a central midfielder? what's going on, his position is the least we needed. This club is baffling at times
Well, talk about an underwhelming start to our summer transfer window. I don’t really see how he improves the team and if I wanted a midfielder we could have gotten someone with more of a technical guile who has the ability to control the tempo of matches because our midfield will not hold up in the champions league at all.
Cleverly was playing well that one season (our last title season?) before some cnut tore his ankle up with a bad tackle. If we can somehow manage to get his best mate, Declan Rice, as well then this might end up being very shrewd.

1 year left on his contract and it appears Chelsea don't want to give him the contract he wants. I think there's probably also the case of Mount not feeling appreciated and would fancy his chances elsewhere. At Chelsea and maybe under Poch, he doesn't really have a defined position. Why is Chelsea letting him go?
He was from my memory, I was delighted about signing Carrick at the time.Lets Muppet properly!
Not like Carrick was well received at the time.
Player of the year the year they won the CL. He was excellent.Baffled to say the least. I obviously don't watch Chelsea that much but any time I have I've never seen him play well. Also not sure where he'll play, I can't see him fitting alongside case and Bruno.
I'll back him if he signs though.
Don’t think this brings us any closer to having a stronger grip in midfield in bigger games at all, but if Haggy is this hard for him he must have some sort of plan
Ten Hag obviously doesn’t want tempo setters, he seems to want pressing and hard working machines in midfield.Yeah, I think the two attacking 8's is nice on paper but as a collective we have to be very very good for it to work well. Not seen a breakdown of these stats but would be interested to know how many come from set piecesHe's better on defending than Eriksen, a player that 90% of the time is a starter when fit. And probably in some games, EtH would withdraw Bruno to 8, and has Mount as 10. That's what I envisage if we were signing Maddison.
That 21/22 stats of 29 GA is a mouthwatering number for a young player in PL.
Should my cock be out over this?
Don't the majority of Chelsea fans complain that he's too slow, or at least not quick enough for any pace not to be counteracted by his (relative) lack of strength. It's not quite a Mata situation, I guess, but then again Mata looked a much more creative passer. Mount just seems so midrange at bestCase, Eriksen and Bruno hasn't exactly been awful, so why would adding Mount - who is actually pretty quick and excellent work rate - be any worse?
I think we're going to be positively surprised, but I also hope we're going to add another CM.
If we continue with the same broad positional principles as this season, then I would have to disagree because he needs to play as the build up 8 in a 2 man midfield, which I could be wrong but I don’t think he has really played in, let alone as the creative maestro. It would be an awfully big gamble for one of the 3 key positions that we need filling. We saw that with Pogba’s inability to play deeper in a 2. Granted outside of the man who’s already rejected us, there isn’t a real clean fit, but there are alternatives who would certainly present less risk than Mount, with higher upside.Mount is excellent on the half turn. He’ll progress the play well.
Last season he was statistically elite. This season Chelsea have been shocking so we could bag a bargain here.

Yeah, Rice or Caicedo and we have a serious group of midfielders.I’m ok with signing Mount if it means we go all in for Rice too then offload McTominay and VDB which would leave us with the best group of midfielders we’d have had in years.
