I don't think its in their dna to keep hold of the ball. The amount of times they panic and hoof the ball when they actually have passing options is infuriating

That is a quality goal from Griezman. Atletico will just drop deep and be rugged in defence.
 
Hasn't lost his class. Getafe actually playing well and he is definitely one of their standout players. Not easy to be playing against Atletico. Makes me very happy to see

Imo the cross is what was quality here. A perfect cross that found Griezmann between two Getafe defenders.

Tbh I've never watched Getafe before except some highlights. They've been the better side for the first 25' but think they got a bit complacent after the red card. They looked organized and physical but imo the technical quality of their players are generally quite low. Especially passing and in tight space. No surprise though.

Greenwood looks pretty sharp and fast today. But imo he's deployed too deep and Atletico started to have at least two defenders infront of him after he got their FB a couple times. They should move him up imo.
 
Good strike just now, tested the keeper. Commentator called him Griezmann
 
If he’s not world class at the minute then he will be in the future. That touch and run was ridiculous
 
I would only like to state the obvious that Greenwood was a ridiculous talent on the verge of club and country greatness before the storm blew ashore and it's great to read posts here that he's finding his feet again.

Yeah, he's unfortunately playing in a team that technically aren't on his level. Their tactics are pretty good but they struggle to keep possession and outside of Greenwood just don't really have anyone with a bit of quality.

The good thing is that he's put on this display against a much stronger team.
 
He is the perfect modern striker. Strength will come with experience and so will positioning. Hope something can be resolved in the future.
 
At 1-1 it did look as if Getafe could really take the game to Atletico, but just as they build momentum Atletico scored.
 
As good as he was in the first half he is fantastic in the second one.
 
An enjoyable match. Back to one goal in it. Again Greenwood getting to the by line and creating.
 
Greenwood taking defenders on and putting a ball in that almost led to a goal
 
It is strange how you can spin the conclusion to a match. Atletico scoring 2 excellent goals out of their three, but Getafe always were a threat and played more as team and the more impressive really, despite their limitations.
 
Well, Getafe won me £145 after sticking a 5er on them at 3-1 to draw. Would have been £295 had Greenwood taken the penalty
 
What a game. Greenwood clearly was one of if not the best player on the pitch. He’s improving game by game and his sharpness and stamina has improved greatly. Good to see
 
Watched the last 20 mins or so and thought he was excellent. Explosive, direct and good decision making.

Still harbour some hope of seeing him back at United.

He didn't score or assist but imo we definitely must call him back. The number of times he dribbled past their FB today must be bigger than our entire forwards have done this season. And he made that looked so easy.
 
Real Madrid should be looking at getting him alongside Bellingham.

He's just a much more talented and skilled player than Antony and Rashford - even after being a year away from football.
