He wasn't good before that though and he's definitely not a player you want when you're down to 10. This is just a reality check for those who keep claiming he'd be our best RW and we should bring him back in Jan.

Who do you think is better than him here?

He would definitely be our best RW imo, maybe more because our RW are so poor rather than current Greenwood being any great shakes. Anyway I don't think the club are ever going to bring him back so it doesn't matter really. But he'd put up better numbers than any RW we have even in his current rusty state

It's more a reality check that our RWs manage to do basically feck all when we have 11 men.

They're all currently better than him right now, he's showing flashes of what he had before, but he's also showing weaknesses that he had prior.

I'm not sure why you think that, as all his decent numbers/performance have come against poor opposition. He'd be eaten alive with the pace of the prem currently and he's rightfully getting back to a semblance of his level In a less physical league.

They certainly need to up their output, but I have seen encouraging things in the recent games.

You do realise that our best RW hasn't scored or assisted this season yet?

Yeah, there are different facets to his game though. Bebe has the same amount of goals in that league, it's not apples and apples.

He's at least on the same level as Pellestri and Antony. Sancho is a non-person.

"That league"

That is enough for me to stop arguing with you, but I'll just add that he had no problem scoring in other league, such is her majesty - premier league.

Talent wise hes way above them all - I'd say even still after watching him now. Physically he's still miles off.

Not sure why you focused on how I referred to la liga, rather than the point. Technically, the prem isn't as good as la liga, but physically it is absolutely streets ahead - I'm not a prem zealot. I'm also not talking about Greenwood of old, he'd walk into our side right now, I'm talking about the one I've been watching now.

You do realise he is saying Antony is better than Greenwood this year?
You’re not comparing oranges with oranges in this scenario. A major concern is where MG is physically and that’s valid in my opinion because the PL is known to be a physically demanding league and the Spanish league is known to be slower and therefore more time to show off technical skills. I don’t see anything in that being incorrect.

I reckon you could drop Antony into the same situation and he’d look a brilliant player

you took offense at the term “that league”

So what you are saying that premier league is much better league than La Liga. Because everything you described there says that you think La Liga is easier to play in.

"I reckon you could drop me in premier league and I'd look brilliant there", is pretty similar to your sentence regarding Antony. Why on earth would you think that? You seriously underrate La Liga for some reason. Also you are making it sound like Antony is phsyical monster in comparision to Greenwood, when he clearly isn't. He has finished one full 90 game this season.

It’s no secret that La Liga is a slower pace, in fact most leagues are slower paced than the PL. not sure why that seems so offensive to you.

at no point did I say one or the other is better.

as for Antony he was much better statistically in the slower Dutch league which is why I think he would clock up good numbers in La Liga. Its hardly rocket science

Who said I found it offensive? I don't care about La Liga, but it's obvious some people want to underrate Spanish League in comparision with PL. He is arguing it's more phsyical, not more paced league, have you actually read his posts?

He was better statistically in Dutch league because it's far less quality than EPL, not because it's a slower league. Same as Memphis Depay used to be much better there than in England.

Greenwood is involved in 5 goals, in comparision with Antony who is on zero goals and assists, the difference in quality is obvious to anyone with pair of eyes.

But it is more physical. Players have to run further at a faster pace. How is that not considered a physical trait?

Getafe currently playing Valencia at home. Valencia have gone down to 10 men. Greenwood has been direct and a dangerous shot at goal. The home side are pushing for a winner against the side they could leap frog with a home win.

It was a cagey first half, but i expect the game will become stretched during the final 20 minutes.

There is evidence of Greenwood now tracking back and attempting to win the ball back in his game.

Manchester United could decide "in just months" on whether or not to bring back Mason Greenwood, as bosses consider a dramatic U-turn.

Being reported this morning.

Its bull. He isn't coming back.

You that confident? If there is people at the club who genuinely believe the video was «out of context» I think there is a chance. Give him a year in Getafe. A year in Luton or something similar where there is less spotlight on him. Time dont heal all wounds, but I think there would be less focus on it after a few years like that.

Of course a decision will be made by the end of the season. A nothing story.

We need the money and don't need the hassle of bringing him back. He'll be sold in summer.

I mean it’s not really a nothing story given many have been very direct in saying there’s zero chance he returns.

This shows that the stories about him staying are now being leaked/circulating and it’s perhaps not as clear cut as many suspected.

Not every story is a 'leak'. Far from it.

Been happening for a while, there was a story more than a month back that Ratcliff was looking to bring him back if his form warranted it. Can't even say I'm surprised, we know how the world works...
