Has he announced his retirement yet?
Acuna and montiel are holding a press conference this morning to announce it for him.
He tried to walk it off last night, the mad bastard. He is the Butcher, he will walk it off!
Are they gonna carry him out in a coffin?
yes, and then take their seat either side of his widow.
I'm still laughing at 'career ending'
It was way over the top, but can you blame people going full panic if we have a very bad bench and a serious injury to one of our key players makes us so vulnerable? I am just glad it's not such a terrible injury as it might have seemedI'm still laughing at 'career ending'
Glad you are, the people who've had this injury and can't play at the top level anymore aren't thoughI'm still laughing at 'career ending'

I don't mind, I'm still right, you can laugh as much as you want when you're wrong, it's easy innit? Look at any medical study on Achilles injuries. Here's one regarding NFL players, and they don't even kick a ball for the most part:I meant your tagline
Achilles tendon tears are potentially career-ending injuries for professional athletes. For players in the National Football League (NFL), return requires not only surgery and extensive rehabilitation
For players who return, the long-term effects remain unclear. Parekh et al found a >50% reduction in performance following an AT rupture. However, they examined only select position types and calculated performance using “power ratings,” a scoring system similar to that used in fantasy football. The current study examined all positions and found that the players who did RTP played in significantly fewer RS games in their return season versus the season preceding injury. Notably however, these players returned to their preinjury levels of RS games played and started when allowed to play >1 season following injury.

Not these guys apparently, they're too cool to worry about things like career ending injuries. They just prefer to laugh at people who know more than they do.Everyone worries about Achilles. It’s a super serious injury. Thankfully it’s isn’t that!

Looked like cramp to me. Hopefully back vs Forest
Career ending cramp. He went down on his own and looked completely distraught. What a horrible take, although I assume this is more wishful thinking than anything.
Exactly, I happen to know of two people who did theirs skateboarding of all things, both had reduced mobility in their foot afterwards and one walked with a bit of a limp. Running is completely out of the question for both of them.Doubt the poster has ever played sport or known people who’ve done their Achilles. It’s a horrendous injury. My friend did it playing football - surprisingly it was painful but he managed to walk off the pitch With a bit of help. He was told 7/8 months until he can do any sort of running.
It seems jumping to massive conclusions is something you both have in common.Doubt the poster has ever played sport or known people who’ve done their Achilles.
When I’m wrong? You ended his career several times last night, yet I’m wrong? I’m laughing at you hanging on the word of Robbie Savage of all people.I don't mind, I'm still right, you can laugh as much as you want when you're wrong, it's easy innit? Has it been confirmed that it's not achiles?
I did? People said it was his Achilles and that he was out for the season, I said season? Try career. When I’m wrong? You ended his career several times last night, yet I’m wrong? I’m laughing at you hanging on the word of Robbie Savage of all people.
Career altering is more appropriate perhaps. Lots of players who suffer than injury come back at a much lower level.I'm still laughing at 'career ending'
ETH said it's not in that area.Has it been confirmed that it's not achiles?
Yes, it's hard to think of a worse back 4.Would it be the worst idea to play McTominay and Shaw as CBs? AWB on the right and Malacia/Dalot on the left.
YeahYes, it's hard to think of a worse back 4.
I broke a metatarsal just walking down the stairs, stepped off bottom step, heard an almight crack. I just thought 'What the hell'. Then I tried to put my foot down. It was only a tiny crack and the pain was excruciating. If it's his fifth metatarsal that'd be very unlucky/lucky.
Unlucky in the sense it's pretty freakish thing to break in the circumstances, with no contact, lucky in the sense it should be fine in 6 weeks.
Still think it's more likely a tendon.
Would it be the worst idea to play McTominay and Shaw as CBs? AWB on the right and Malacia/Dalot on the left.

Yes it would indeed be the worst idea.
How long does that take to mend? One thing is if Argentina have any internationals in summer if will keep him out of them and will let him have a modicum of rest.Looked like a lateral ligament in the ankle to me, happened to me before just sidestepping on the pitch, quite painful when it snaps. Hopefully it's that and not the Achilles anyway.
